You do not need an invitation you need your varsity coach to send a letter of recommendation for u , in my case im going cuz im a freshman who starts on varsity and all the coaches from my 4 teams want me to big time.

@WaNNaBeAHeeL Travis, i received an email that was aparently from Jack Reed about this thing "3d Blue Chip lacrosse camp". Its to my understanding that you go to this with about 600 other guys and then they pick the top 120 to go to Nike Blue Chip. Im assuming that everyone on the gators recieved the same email so it probably all depends on the team you play for, age and tournaments played in. I don't know a ton about it but thats the info i got.

@WaNNaBeAHeeL if you can get in that would be sick but its not your only option. You could play in the Gait Cup, the Vail Shootout, King of the Hill, NSCLA. Any of those tournaments your sure to get recruited if your good. College coaches are everywhere at these tourneys. The best tournament i can keep up in is NSCLA, anything more than that is ridiculous. I met Dave Pietramala and Jeff Tambroni there. I heard John Danowski and alot of other coaches were there as well.

Don't know why you were given thumbs down as this is a question I had when I first started playing lacrosse.

Lacrosse uses alot of hand eye coordination yes, I played b-ball for many years before LAX, but i was quite awkward when trying to throw and catch.

However if you do have decent hand-eye coordination, and you practice throwing and catching, you should pick it up in no time
