I do love Stan but when it comes to School Days he REALLY REALLY should take some long time off . Stan give the song a rest and let`s play something new man !!!!
When an artist has a signature song, usually as it is played or sung over the years, it becomes stale and predictable, but with this tune, Stanley always seems to enjoy playing it, and finding a new way to interpret it for the listeners, and for himself!
@4to88strings It was Amazing, i cant put into words how amazing he is at playing bass. He Inspires me so much =D. Im Only 13, but rly? you got to play with him? Damn! that must have been awesome!
@HelloOperator91 Yeah I got to play with Stanley He invited several local bassists to come up and jam with him. Awesome experience. He had a huge grin when I started playing many of his signature licks.
I tell everyone to listen to Romantic Warrior by Return To Forever. It is some of Stanley's best work ever.
You can find some cuts on youtube. Another remarkable bassist I got to meet is Jonas Hellborg. I've been playing bass 30+ years and Stanley is a big influence as well as John Entwistle.

@HelloOperator91 Well, how was the show??? Did he blow you away??? I've seen him several times with/without RTF. Always great.
Even got to jam with him at the Arcadia Theater in Dallas back in the 80's. That was pretty awesome.
Got to see George Duke with Zappa too. Great times!!!
