What would have held my interest is a varied approach -- say it, give a teaser, talk a little science, show it, give credentials, testimonials etc. One of my favorite approaches to conveying information was created by Christopher Alexander in his 1970s book A Pattern Language.
The problem with dental appliances is that many of them put pressure on the front teeth, in effect shifting them long-term.

Interesting but the camera man was a bit of a div, would of liked to of been able to see the device.
