Wonderful playing, great sound, it would be nice to get a few of your thoughts and comments about the hymn..... ( maybe a few details about the organ too ) its one brilliant sound !
Thank you for this beautiful hymn. My father passed away in March and the earthly day has ended for him I know that the morning will break and the shadows will flee and I and my family will all be together again. While still here hymns like this one will comfort me on my daily walk.
It is indeed one of the most beautiful hymns in the Episcopal Church repetoire.
In my little Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Fl I use it frequently for morning service. Simply use the 2nd verse for the beginning verse. The story the hymn tells is that a mass is being celebrated somewhere in the world every moment of every day. Much too beautiful to only use for Vespers. I also use it for Baptisms.
There is nothing to fault. How wonderful to hear such beautiful playing. With this particular composition I'm always in danger of being brought to tears. Your playing doesn't help. Many thanks for this lovely version.

Easily one of my favorite hymns... though there are so few opportunities to use it in congregational worship. Oh, for a regular Vespers service!

Takes me back to my time in the church choir in England, where we sang this simple but beautiful hymn many times.
Thank you so much for all the work you do in posting your videos Lance, you have a great talent.
