You can always straighten your hair, as long as you use a nice heat protection (I reccomend CHI, it's expensive but it protects against heat damage) and then you can always buy a hair treatment to repair damage. With that, you should be able to keep your hair pretty healthy.

@imasuperstarish oh dear not long at all!! Maybe 15 mins max! I could ready in the morning in less than 30 mins back then so I know it was less than 15 the blow dryer method speeds it up bc it helps the hairspray dry right away so yea =]
