i downloaded this and its not working. the computer asked what program to use to open it and i chose adobe reader by mistake. it wont let me change it, and if i delete and redownload, or download different simulations, it always opens on adobe reader now. someone help me because im not good with computers and cant find the solution and i really want to try this simulation out

That 3D pit is shocking! Granted the TV screen is fairly nifty, but it's such poor quality. I hope this wasn't a payware add on... right?! Go play Longbow or DCS:Black Shark for a real heli sim :P.

I know someone had good intentions when they created this, but it looks nothing like the real apache. theres no box on the collective theres 2 screens, no guages, and the cyclic stick has a hand grip on it. Unless your going for alpha model, t hose have all guages and no screens.

Wow, I would have let you go on thinking that, but you insult my knowledge. Whats your MOS, Mine is 15R APACHE CREW CHIEF. For your information the MFD or Multi-Function Display on the Apache was made originally for the Comanche. When they scrapped the Comanche they integrated the information into the Apache. Some Units did not have the delta model of the Apache so they retro-fitted the Alpha model with the new displays. The original Alpha has all gauges.

If you were to move the cyclic that much in a real helicopter, you'd chop your own tail boom off. Lousy simulators are written by programmers who don't know anything about flying first-hand or about aerodynamics.

you may be correct but in the game there is different realism settings. he could have had it really low which means you can crash on the ground and nothing would happen.

what you wanna do is get your self some target scenery or some scenery in iraq and fly it through there . use you smoke for guns and it will make it look more cooler, i know because i've done it with that apache.
