Its the tournament format that makes them tired. I mean three fights in one night. Warming up three times and cooling down three times and also the damage taken during each fight. thats a lot on a fighter. Even in this fight u can see after two hard fights Masato is no match for Buakaw by the final and he gets punished for it too.

Clearly you have never fought in the ring at a high level ... the adrenaline, the pace and the amount of energy that each blow that each fighter gives and receives becomes exhausting for even the most well trained (and conditioned) fighters... thats why the K1 MAX is recoconised as the most prestigous title in all the top tournaments around the world ...3 fights in one night, against the top fighters from around the world ... No offense but that is the botton line..

Another thing to add , K-1 change the rules because BUAKAW was too dominant. Buakaw isn't bringing in 100% MUAY THAI into the table. One of our "STAR" weapon is the ELBOW which the rules doesn't allow BUAKAW to do it. With the evolution of K-1 , boxing is very important. Buakaw head movement isn't good .. Bring in MUAY THAI RULES.. Buakaw will win the fight easily..

When buakaw fought this match was clearly on the top...and till 2006 he has been one of the best,then he became to be less strong,as we saw in 2007 he lost vs masato, he gave less kick and didn't try to avoid any hit like 2005 or 2006.2008...well the same things, lost again,against Sato...and his style fight was clearly changed... no more triple middle kick...just used some jab or 1-2 combo and some middle or low kick...this year:i think he gonna get a real ko by SOUWER,he won't goes in final

petrosyan is really good, his record...even better...(he has one loss, against a thai fighter in thailand, so to me it means nothing especially it was a decision loss) without a doubt he'll beat yuya, he's too clever for someone like yuya. so chances are we're gna see buakaw vs petrosyan or souwer vs petrosyan. as much as im a huge fan of buakaw and him being my idol in muay thai, if he continues to fight like he did last time he's not gna win. let's hope he doesn't disappoint me again.

because my friend in lumpinee you always fight with thai people and the style is always the same...try and fight european fighters who use more boxing skills or knees or etc and you will see how more hard it is thatn just fighting in lumpinee.....plus in k1 the money is better than lumpinee

well what i meant was i don't think he is the best muay thai fighter. if he was the best muay thai fighter he would be ranked much higher in thailand. K-1 is a completely different style of fighting with much different opponents. i would say he is one of the best K-1 fighters without a doubt, but not the best muay thai fighter.

Oh my God, they're not fighting...they're hugging! So cute! Okay, I'm joking. Buakaw is f*cken deadly with those push kicks. Masato landed some really nice strikes too, but from what I saw in the first 2 rounds, Buakaw was feeding Masato a lot of the time. Amazing fight.
