hmm, that last one is a good catch...all of the Pok'emon were captured and taken to the cloning room, so we assume they were all cloned. maybe Mewtwo didn't want doubles, though, and planned on simply destroying the original starters rather than re-cloning them. after all, the only reason the original Pok'emon emerge from the cloning room is cuz Ash destroys the cloning machine and releases them.

and the togepi (and staryu, we never see staryu's clone) easily could've been a mistake.

The last one isn't a mistake. The Pokemon behind Ash are all the originals, NOT the clones. The clones are all the ones standing with Mewtwo. That is what you're pointing out isn't it...?

The only other mistake that was left out that i dont think no one noticed, was when they were all about ready to battle to see who were stronger mewtwo says that he will make it so the pokemon will not be able to use there powers, but then when ash is a stone thing pikachu is trying to shock him... i only noticed it when i was watching it with my son! There are a few you missed. In the begining Pikachu shocked the guy's Donphan, but that can be excused since donphans type wasn't released yet. But he also shocked the guys Golem at the same time, so mistake there. Also, Pigeot guy is seen flying to the island twice in one scene, first on a Fearow and then on pigeot a second later. The Fearow is never seen again on his team. And when Ash walks out with the originals, Rapidash's flames disappear for a split second.

ACTUALLY Mewtwo just captured Charixard, Venusaur and Blastoise, if you remember he was just taking their pokemon anyways because they were traders that obeyed Humans. there was no reason for him to clone them when he already had some. it would probably have made a better argument if you had complained that meowth's clone doesn't talk, or that the guy at the begining used a Donphan when it wasn't even a Pokemon at the time, or well, you get my point

I'm pretty sure he just cloned Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise but didn't have them come out because he intended for it to be 1 on 1 during the battle. The second clones of those Pokemon wouldn't have anyone to battle. Plus it would just be redundant and confusing because little kids wouldn't catch on to why there were two of the clones.
