I'm dominican, I do a lot of hiking with my friends and every weekend we go around exploring new parts. First of all, there are no white sharks in DR, seeing a shark is like seeing a mermaid. Second of all, the are where he is, is called barahona, just a mere kilometer away from where he is there is a HUGE town, full of people. Those parts are not dangerous at all.
