Looking back their outlook looks quite ridicilous, this Lady Di dyed hair and make up. Short pirate jackets, vawes in fashion comes and goes. But the song is one of my most loved ones and most memorable from late Japan.
My uncle is a great bass guitarist, his name is Colin Hodgkinson but the bass line on this track by Mick is one of the most memorable bass lines i've ever heard RIP Mick
@sscrystal10 All we're so sad for Mick's death, but I wouldn't like Paul McCartney had died !!! Let's just respect all, okay? ;-) Without death wish for nobody. [and YES, I'm a Mick Karn Fan. I'm Paul McCartney Fan]
12 000 hits....................you just cant believe it can you.
This band were truly pushing the boat out. They simply blossomed thats what they did. Oil on canvas was it ever surpassed............................NO
And before some retard mentions duran duran.............simply dont!
@spillandambience If you read Micks book i don,t think Mick and Dave will ever get back together in the studio or live, although if Mick is well enough he is supposed to getting back in the studio with Pete Murphy all proceeds going to the Mick Karn fund.
wow - this brings back some crazy memories - saw them live back in the mid-80's = Missed the last train back to Norwich spent night at Liverpool St Station - great night - met Paul McCartney - while filming Broad St.. great times - oh to be young againl...Thanks for the post..
Mick will be missed. He really opened up the use of fretless bass for rock and pop. Hope he has a good gig in Heaven ! R.I.P Mick Karn !
