I dunno if the lag compensation is different on the ps3, but i've always had a good connection and i don't feel i'm getting penalized for it. Also the UMP is actually the highest damage sub machine gun. You were shooting a guy with a ballistic vest, of course it will take more bullets.

And of course I think the lag compensation is a terrible idea. If you pay for better internet, you shouldn't be penalized. That being said, I never have anything over a 3 bar, so it makes the game really fun for me personally. If I had a good connection, I'd be pissed though XD

1) MW2, Never got bored of it and avoid noobtubes by playing FFA and UMP and commando by using MP5K.

2) WaW, Love the semi-auto guns, maps were all good, very few hackers on PS3 in UK and the voices were amazing.

3) MW, got this late and never really fell in love with it, though I can see why people do.

4) BO, found it very boring, CoD points took away feeling of reward, graphics were poor, 2nd chance was BS.

x) MW3 played for about an hour at a friend's, haven't made my mind up yet.

@Xsniper2985 3 shotting someone at longe range with a sub machine gun is not balanced, therefore they balanced that, everything else is more or less identical. It's still a very good gun, you can go toe to toe with any other sub machine gun's if you play smart, although the pp90 and mp7 are still faster at killing.

Despite all the obnoxious people running around with granade launchers and knifing with the tactical knife attachment. Modern Warfare 2 was the best game for me. It was much more fast paced and smoother for my playstyle. Black Op's would be next on my list. My only flaws in Black op's is that my headset was pretty much useless and you basicaly had to be the host to get proper hit detection, GhostPro wasn't really an issue for me to much because the spawns were easy to learn. Just my Opinion.

Most veteran CoD players don't like MW3 because it's revolutionary to the entire series. The only real complaints people should have are lag compensation, akimbo FMG-9's,and spawns. Also if you don't like multiplayer then play something else like private match or spec. ops, it's in the game for a reason. Score 9/10

1. CoD4 ("prestiged" at least 4 times on the PC - Martyrdom only really a problem on REALLY large servers.)

2. MW3 (Love the Support package and the 50.cal)

3. Black Ops / MW2 (Both felt more like "fillers" rather than anything special. Still had some fun playing them though. Both had guns that were waay to O.P. Granted, same exists in MW3, but nowhere near as much in my experience.)

4. World at War (Didn't have as much fun playing this as the rest)

@Thesand0w You don't know what you've got til it's gone. For me, the things that were "wrong" with BO were pretty minor things compared to MW2/3. The spawns and voice chat quality are so bad with mw3, it gets really frustrating.

Also, more than just lag compensation, I really don't enjoy the map design in MW3. I understand what they were trying to do by eliminating 'power points' and verticality; and I (sort of) understand what they were trying to do by making the spawn system more unpredictable and therefore less prone to camping/trapping. But in combination, it makes the gameplay a total mess. Some folks enjoy the chaos, and they're welcome to it - but it's not for me. BF3 for me until November.

Missed CoD4 - busy with law school. And I also have only played about 5 hrs of WaW - wish I'd gotten to it earlier, before it got hacked. Lots of fun - had I played it more, I might well rank it above MW2, which got me back into the CoD series (having played 1 & 2 on pc/mac) but was admittedly broken.
