  • THE 2/ 1/2 MILLION WILL VOTE IN NOV 2010 WE WILL REMEMBER YOUR NO VOTE

WHAT A BUNCH OF COLD HEARTED WORTHLESS PEOPLE WE HAVE RUNNING OUR USA , NO WONDER WE ARE IN THIS MESS

AMERICANS WANT TO WORK BUT WHERE ARE THE JOBS...... THERE ARE NONE...SO WHAT THE H E L L YOU WANT PEOPLE TO FEED THEIR FAMILYS BP OIL BALLS

    AMERICANS ARE disappointed and disgusted

    Unemployed workers are GOP’s pawns

  • dude why do you get off on the 2 party system, the whole system is a total joke, your playing this dem/rep thing like they are football teams....its such a joke both parties are trash

your dreaming about paying off the debt with a dollar of decent value, we will pay it off when the dollar is worth 1/10 what it is now

  • Sry im not rebublican im the other one.

  • Im so tired of this Left - Right paradigm. I don't agree with you but that is to say i don't disagree. But all of you who are focusing on this way of thinking are only hurting America. We're all people, we all want freedom.

  • Would you say that to people who had to fight for their rights throughout American history? Would you be tired of the slavery-abolition paradigm? Because American history is still going on, and people are still living without rights (gays) and dying unnecessarily (war, healthcare). Your job, breckboarder09, is to assist the long struggle. Some paradigms are valid, my friend. It would be preferable if it were an illusion, but those of us unlucky enough to carry the legacy of burden know it's not

  • Your right, there are still issues in this world that need to be addressed. But we get no where when America is at war with itself. Instead of addressing the issues and working together for a solution we continue to demonize each other, attempting to nullify our opponents opinion. The Tea Parties that were held were in fact bi-partisan. This is not some Right-Wing Ideology Bash like you put it out to be. That assumption is pure ignorance, Turn off the TV and Read.

  • I don't have a TV, I read a great deal, so that's a hell of a command to give immediately after warning about false assumptions.

The tea parties were anti-Obama rallies. Just claiming bipartisanship does not make it so, and you know that unless you have something to gain believing otherwise.

They happened right after Obama cut taxes, and completely ignored that reality. There's video of a guy who spoke in support of the Obama tax cuts. I'm going to let you guess how the crowd treated him.

  • True, that was a cheap shot, and i will give you that. Even though I can or can not prove you do watch tv, its really beside the point anyway.

The parties were not partisan. I will guarantee you that. Attending a anti-Obama rally does not make you republican, nor does a anti- McCain rally make you a democrat. People came together to share there discontent about the current admin. Granted, a good portion of those people were of the opposing party, to make that generalization discredits your info

  • Obama is continuing Bush's policies. There is no left or right anymore.

  • OMG .... no it wasn't. Everyone tea-parter was present to protect "too much government", Nancy P. and the President.

Theres no way the Tea-Parties would have let everone like myself join them, why? Because I didn't support what they were doing.

  • This isn't about parties, okay -- sure, there were some democrates and independents but they were agreeing with to protest the current administration. Now, if there are people around who disagree, then that is not bipartisan. If there wasn't any bipartisanship going on, there there wouldn't be a Tea Party Movement in the first place. At least thats the way I see it.

  • Actually, the Tea Party Patriots are non-partisan. I am among them, and there are Democrats there as well.

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuwish. They were extremely partisan.

  • Says who? I've been a part of more than one, and the ones who lead it and the ones who participate constantly speak about being non-partisan, and even mentioned some Democrats who agree with us.

  • The Democrats there were probably blue-dog. Sure, they have a card that say they were democrats, but idealogically, they're not where the progressive majority of democrats are.

  • I'm gonna stipulate that they were imaginary Democrats. Blue dogs may have a right streak, they may be pro-life, or anti-gay marriage, but they don't go to Obama-is-a-socialist parties.

  • Well...his approval ratings have tanked...according to several sites....the only ones I've looked at, not just select ones because they differ a bit...but it was just about 80% in Nov and through Jan/Feb-ish.....now in July it's about 55%. The media is still in high gear though, which is why it's not a lower number percentage.

And please don't start saying that I get all my info from Fox either....cause I don't....like the guy below me, I watch C-SPAN.

  • I won't if your information's good, and 55 (or 54) is correct, though his average peak was in the high 60s. You can see it graphically at pollster(dot)com.

You're ahead of yourself saying the numbers have tanked though. Any tanking that still wins an election is taking I can get used to. His current supporters are about the same size as his November voters.

As to the media propping him up...maybe you actually should see more Fox.

  • there are actually two gun bills working their way through now

  • What are they?

  • Well I don't agree. I don't think his economic policy is very good. I'm really fascinated with the Austrian Economic philosophy; and neither party takes up on it. I don't have a problem with GOP voters. I think they're too loyal to Republican politicians, but I agree with them in that small-government is the best option. But I agree that the GOP is disappointing.

I do hope Obama does good. I hate the media that hopes a politician fails (on either side).

    I like your optimism though.

  • In a perfect world, you (or someone with as much perspective) would be president. The O man's close, but opinions don't win elections in 'merica.

  • A lot of the outrage in those rallies was about the outrageous spending in the recent "bailouts" that's dramatically increased the deficit and debt and has created a great deal of inflation. This economic policy is a joke. When inflation rises and banks simulaneously tighten credit small businesses go down and unemployment increases. Moreover the issue of taxes was certainly secondary to spending and since McCain voted for the initial bailout last fall the rallies certainly weren't in his honor.

  • If you want to call demographic reality a generalization, you can, but it doesn't make the GOP any less screwed. Your age and race aren't going to solve the GOP's problem unless you clone yourself a few million times. And if you want to talk about spreading bad data, even Wikipedia doesn't list 750K in their broad range of estimates. No surprise you cite no source. Finally, Bush would have been reelected with over 80% if the election was in Fall 2001. Approval rating and votes correlate well.

  • Joe, all the GOP has to do is be ready with a plan for when Obama screws it all up and the people take notice. Like is happening now!

  • Great, lemme know when that plan kicks in.

  • joe, we miss you. please make videos again. maybe about the healthcare debate..or iran..pwease?

  • Today!

  • Your videos are great; I just stumbled on them =p

  • You seem to think all these government programs are gaurunteed not to fail, and that the high taxes and debt won't destroy the economy. You are as idealistic as the Bush administration who thought Iraq would be EZ. The high taxes, inflation, and debt will far outweigh any potential benefits. Idealism is dangerouse.

  • Actually, Libertarians started the tea party. I of course did not attend because all the NeoCons choked us out.

Joe, this video just proves that we have a false political dichotomy in this country.

  • We have political dichotomy because we have a spoils system that inhibits the 3rd largest ideology from creating a discreet party.

In parliamentary democracies you can vote for any party and they combine into governing majorities in office. You choose, they compromise. In our system your job is to influence the party's ideology before the election by campaigning for a candidate you like in primaries. You compromise some and then choose. I don't think one is more democratic than the other.

  • Ah the only liberal to report on the tea parties..lmbo...now that's funny!

  • whats with your constant reiteration of them being White? How are you not playing the opposite side of racial politics that has been done for decades? Hey look, we got the black, and you don't, nanana?

  • This is a video about demographics and strategy. Race is a part of that, but not more important than age or gender, all of which I cover before moving on to message and ideology. I think your comment reveals more about your listening bias than my writing bias.

Just to be clear--I don't think their racial homogeny is what makes Republicans wrong, but it is one of the things that makes them weak.

  • I like this guy, fairly balanced although I imagine he errs to the Left

  • 1- You are excellent at speaking in front of a camera. Spontaneity of words come easy for you I see. 2- Ron Paul and the freedom movement started the Tea bagging idea. The neocons only tried taking it over. So there was was great legitimacy to the whole idea. 3-Obama has some good ideas but here's one.... why not end the fed, and let the free market decide what is hot or not?

    Keep the rants coming. Later!

  • i would say that bush was the worst president but now i would have to put a new name on the top of the list....

  • hehe great joke,

    i am an conservative atheist

for most conservatives i think last election they where just upset with all the candidates.. well at least libertarians,

  • conservative atheist

    What a grim combination.

  • I am one, what's so grim about it?

  • Radio

Because life with out faith is meaningless. A dull existance.

  • Dear Joe Felice. President Obama's approval rating at this point is low, compared to his predecessors. FAIL.

  • Dear Fat,

Got your letter. I saw that story in a clip from Fox. Thing is they cherry-picked the lowest poll they could find (56%) to justify the story. His average right now is 64.8%, second only to Reagan after 100 days.

Since you probably watch a lot of Fox, I encourage you to verify the claims they make at pollster . com, which has all the data, not just Fox's favorite of the day.

    ...win.

  • Overall, Rasmussen Reports shows a 56%-43% approval, with a third strongly disapproving of the president's performance. This is a substantial degree of polarization so early in the administration. Mr. Obama has lost virtually all of his Republican support and a good part of his Independent support, and the trend is decidedly negative.

  • The reason I gave your video 1 star, is because you seemed to think the tea party goers were GOP supporters. I think 70% of them were libertarians and/or independents now. Did you know that those who describe themselves as GOP has dropped to 24%? As a libertarian, I get tired of the left confusing the libertarian growing movement with the GOP of Bush. I guess it's just easier to call us stooges of the GOP. I believe (and hope) the GOP will fall apart and Ron Paul can take it over.

  • Obama will win again I volunteer for his campaign.

  • They do that because GOP conservatism of less government sounds a lot like libertarianism. I get that to and I get tired of it for several reasons. The first is, so what if I am a stooge of the GOP because isn't everyone a stooge for their own cause and part. The second is that they always make assumptions about you based on the current GOP policies.

  • We'll see you at the polls come 2012

  • i couldn't agree with you more Happy Tea Party LOL!! FOX is garbage.

  • why do people try turn these piss taking funny videos into political debates, no1 cares what the taxation rates are in america, where you got your knowledge from or whether socialism is better than capitalism. Laugh at the video and save your boring economical arguments for some1 who gives a fuck

  • Tea bag party open up conservatives !

  • I agree with some things you say. Public schooling was started so our citizens could vote with some education. But when that school system is filled with people pushing their points of view you break the system. Any ways our tax system is completely wrong. When 2% pay something like 70% of the tax, that is completely wrong. And sorry when people oppose your LORD SAVIOR you guys get your panties in a knot. Where is the free speech. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and CNN smeared bush for the same thing.

  • Well you're welcome to speak here. But let me bring you down to earth on one thing.

The top 10% of the public make 37% of the money. If we had a flat tax they'd pay 37% of the taxes, not 10% obviously. But since our tax system is what you call progressive, they pay 50%. Sometimes people talk about it like that's 5 times the average person's share, but it's really just a third more.

  • Thanks for the great video Joe. I try to explain to friends how I feel about the teabaggers but I get so pissed off and fuming that I no longer form words together. It's more like snarling growls as I foam at the mouth.

  • Nice imagery, rollinmitchell1. I can relate.

  • Hey Joe! I just finished watching a few of your playlists (political vids, roadtrip 08) and a few other videos such as this one, and I subscribed, of course.

My goal is to be well-rounded and informed in as many areas as I can be (a renaissance man, if you will) when or as I grow up. So I was just wondering how you know so much (you're obviously intelligent and fairly well informed).

    Thanks a lot,

    Benjamin

ps - keep up the fantastic vids

  • Thanks Benjamin.

Make interesting friends. Get unusual jobs. Move around. Seek unfamiliar experiences. Read Wikipedia. It is the Bible. Take time without distractions to think freely. For this I walk about an hour a day. If you really want to know something closely, teach it to someone else.

Living in a big city helps a lot. Anything that reduces the amount of repetition in your life. It's amazing how much time we have to grow if we avoid running in circles.

  • Socialism is not new idea, people should go study the history of collectivism and/ or socialism and discover the absolute abysmal track record of socialism through out the world. IT SUX. Socialism and liberty are direct contrasts of each other. First and foremost you have to forcibly take other peoples hard earned money to make socialism work. 2nd no-one spends other peoples money as fiscally as their own. SO thank you ignorance for giving us a Marxist president GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH.

  • You have no idea what socialism really is.

  • Give me Liberty or Give Me Death...Patrick Henry right? He had lots of babies with slave women and sold his own children. Wow! He really worked hard to earn his money that the British wanted to tax. Whatever.... He worked hard at figuring out ways to screw people over and keep the ill gotten gains. No change in the rhetoric or the behavior.

  • Here I am making a point about the inherent flaws of socialism and over taxation and I end the paragraph with a quote. Your political ammo against my position is slamming the originator of the end quote and mention nothing of the point made in the previous sentences, as well you act as if the history of the originator of the quote is a reflection upon the point I made in the paragraph preceding. -cont.

  • SO you are either a political hack or just plain dumb espousing rants you heard somewhere else and never intellectually questioned yourself nor understood their connections.

  • a country cannot tax its citizens into prosperity, Obuma and his cohorts are destroying capitalism in america and capitalism is part of what has made america what it is today

they say that democracy is really a transition point to oligarchy, and that is why the founding fathers created a REPUBLIC

  • Man, it's so good to hear your thoughts again Joe!

From the way you spoke, it felt like you needed to get that out.

I like how you transitioned from a joke to a rant!

    Awesome video!

  • y r u so awesome

  • You are similar to what Keith Olbermann used to be like, before he turned into a wingnut like his counterpart Bill'O at fox.

  • Where'd you hear that? Fox News?

  • heck yeah!! I'd make that wager! o wait... i kind of already did... or do? damn just confused myself. on a more serious note in order for obama's plan to work people need to change. and they won't. Don't get me wrong I think obama is on the right track but you are talking about the children of the people that took out mortgages they couldn't afford vs the rich yuppy children who will be handed control of corporate america and will have the same greedy ideals that current corporate america has

  • youre being biggoted. its NOT a john mccain rally, mccain as never popular to begin with. even ann coulter hated him, which says a lot

  • Way to go, Joe! I love hearing your views. This world would be such a better place without FOXNEWS. My whole goal in life is to one day own it myself and turn it into a liberal network.

  • I think I'm in love....

  • ITS OFFICIAL!!! I now despise Barack Obama more than George W. Bush.1 He refuses to appoint a special prosecutor to punish Bush for his illegal WIRE TAPPING and TORTURING ways.2 He's kissing the asses of 2 bit DICTATORS like Castro and Chavez ,the only thing to come of this is more OUTSOURCING,CHEAP LABOR, and more LOST AMERICAN JOBS.3 He wants to legalize 20 million illegal aliens when millions of Americans can't find work as it is. I can't believe i voted for this " Articulate" LYING HACK.

  • Iraq War = throw taxes in a big incinerator.

    Education = return on investment.

    Good videos, subscribed!

  • Dude, I have no words for how awesome this was. Seriously. You rule.

  • Thanks brotha

  • hey joe - enjoying seeing you back here!

hope you're doing well!! love from NOLA

    xx Jules

  • Hey Jules!

  • jesus palomino!

  • Who's gonna build this infrastructure, high tech, energy market that you speak of...the government? weed-smoking-self proclaimed new-aged philosophers such as yourself? LOL. The bulk of technological advances and products we have and will have are brought to you by those old, wrinkled up, viagra taking capitalist bastards that you're belittling and lambasting. Get a clue. Oh and by the way Obomba's tax the hell (out of what?) plan is no better than bafoonish Busch's horseshit policies.

  • You have invented a version of me that makes the argument easier for you. You have a great future in talk radio.

  • Glad to see you back - as incisive and entertaining as ever!

  • From Montana wishing you a great big Whooohaaa... and Hot damn. He's back folks and on target as ever! Keep rockin' it Joe Felice.

  • Also from Montana....well done!

  • Thanks old friends

  • There were not 1/4 ,million. Fox exaggerated it - probably less than 100,000 countrywide, max.

  • Glad to have you back JoeFelice!

  • Nice clear message, always much to think about.

  • Why am i watching a video of bob ross? and why isnt he painting?

  • Bush cut down all my happy little trees.

  • Bush was the lesser of two weevils and I voted for him, but I am honestly sorry for you trees Joe.

  • So.... much. ... wisdom ... :)

  • i love your videos joe! i really miss you making them more often.. but im sure youre super busy with your new job.

    xoxo.

  • in sarcasmos veritas

  • Sorry that we teabagging conservatives aren't progressive enough to see how you all plan to pay for all that DEBT without TAXES. Increased spending means increased DEBT, which is only balanced with additional TAX revenue. Our taste buds must not be sophisticated enough to discern the many different flavors of the same old shit.

  • What happened to all those conservatives who ranted that revenues would increase if taxes were cut? Did they fall down a hole? Or did Democratic policy just cut them off at the knees?

  • If you want to call the Bush Administration's spending spree "Democratic policy" I won't argue ;)

  • Actually, you might be barking up the "right" or "correct" tree. George Bush was southern baptist democrat that "moved" into the republican party as a new or "neo" conservative along with all of his followers.

Therefore, you might be on to something.

  • Oh my goodness, this was the truth like I've never seen before!

  • conservatism is dead!!!!

  • I don't believe "conservatism" is dead. Some of the tenets are pretty solid and it wins over a lot of old voters, but conservatives seem to know "jack s***" about the economy and play into the hands of the powerful and corrupt on the basis of principle. India also invested in their infrastructure 20+ years ago much like Obama's trying to do today... like Joe said, it'll pay dividends in the long run.

  • That is the essential fallacy in the debate so far. Progressives constantly fall for this too. The media loves to discuss the cost of Obama's proposals for bailout and stimulus but then never discusses the cost of "doing nothing". The debate proceeds as if the conservatives' proposal carries no risk and no cost. Same thing is done when we propose healthcare; media demands to know how we intend to pay for it; but if a tax cut is proposed noone asks how that will be funded and we allow that.

  • I wore a face mask all day Wednesday, lest someone try to dunk their bag in my face =\

  • These are good arguments. Why don't you make videos?

  • Not really a video guy. I work as an attorney so I basically live my life in front of a computer drafting arguments. I would love to see you do a video challenging conservatives to admit that they have no idea what will happen if we allow the bank collapse, auto maker job losses, and state budget gap job losses to hit this weak economy all at once. They are scaring people with the risk of future debt but we have to remind people of the risk in simply "waiting for the market to correct itself".

  • love the metaphors

    metaphors be with you

  • all your videos are very educational,

    but not boring

    =]]

  • Still supporting Obama? Highly recommend "The Obama Deception" - it's uploaded on Youtube.

  • Only people that already HATE Obama believe any of that crap. Just like people that think "taxes are higher" or we're becoming "socialists".

  • Taxes ARE going higher. Carbon taxes will be the death of us

  • Thaaaaaaaank you. You hit the nail on the head. Best video of the day.

  • Beautifully stated.

  • Joe, we've missed your intellect and energy. You're 100% correct! 5 stars and favourited.

  • Thank you for your intelligence seriously

  • Glad to see you back at it man. Noone comments on the current situation like yourself! You've been missed.

  • Good video, but i disagree with one of your points. I don't think Rep. need to win back 10% of their voters before they work on barack supports. I would likely be included in your 10%, as I voted for McCain but now support Obama as my president. I think many of these people would still support a Rep. in future elections, they just disagree with Rush and are rooting for all of our elected officials, not just conservatives.

  • Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you treat the job approval question like that. On the other hand, from 1984 on, job approval numbers have correlated closely with election results for presidents. (This was not true when Ross Perot made it a 3-way race.)

  • ooh! JoeFelice keepin' it real, I hear he's on twitter now.

    :)

  • Lilylulay is my friend. She catches rats with her hands!

    watch?v=nvsCUGd1oZ8

  • lovin the fro, joe. ;-)

    glad you're still posting, brother.

    always refreshing.

    be well.

  • homosexual...ist. hahahah

  • hey man, i must say that i am a libertarian and have just as much of a problem with obama as i did with Bush. but, i appreciate your optimism and vigor that is indeed based in logic. its very rare that i can find a democrat or republican that can offer an honest discussion on the reasons for your beliefs.

also, i though it was very classy of you to offer your support for at least their right to protest before you laid into them.

bravo sir. we may disagree, but i respect you.

  • Thanks, Ian. I think that's the first comment to acknowledge that element of the video.

  • I see a lot of speculating going on here. What I saw of Tea Party videos was a whole lotta people fed up with the tax system and the way that the government has overtaxed the American people. The people there made a point of saying that Obama wasn't the sole malefactor here, it's Congress too. With an unbalanced Democratic majority, some ideas are getting passed that shouldn't get passed. That's my 2 cents.

  • yay! your back! I've missed your videos. They give me a more optimistic outlook, seeing the brighter side.

  • Yeah. it's great isn't it? I luff him. =D

  • You forgot to mention that some of the ppl were truly scary...I fear for Barack.

  • Wonderful to see you back, Joe!

  • i agree with you!

  • Did you just wink? lol

    nerd

I agree with you mostly though...

  • Finally!!! Where you been man, clearly your body has been suffering from a video making defecit, your hands where going crazy! haha. I can't beleive "who is john galt" is actually in the tags... lol

    Good to have you back...

    Z

  • About these placards, or posters, I noticed they were mostly hand made, unlike the left's nicely, mass produced, color coordinated signs.

  • Yeah, like maybe there was some independent thinking going on--contrary to the left's claims that this was an "Astro-Turf Roots Movement" vs. grassroots--that could get you in trouble in this country... Homeland Security might be watching you!

  • So you make no videos about Obama and his litany of wrongs he's performed over the last few months, and your 1st political video to break is about the Tax day rallies?

What was it about them that got your ire up?

    ---------

You're wrong about the green jobs.

---------- And what was with the BRAVE NEW WORLD talk towards the end there?

This pre-school you speak of, would it be required of parents to send their kids? And at what age?

  • It was a combination of me wanting to get back to punditry now, and seeing that my opinion was a bit different from other lefties I was reading.

    Head Start is not mandatory.

  • So did you disagree w/ the Wash.DC voucher program not being re-funded?

    -----

    watch?v=gJ2YgcdbP2s

  • Yes. I believe in school vouchers providing the voucher is less than per capita public education cost, that it's only offered to families who could not otherwise afford private school, and that the private schools meet or exceeded public performance. DC was all 3 (barely on the last).

But Beck's clip is propaganda. That school was out of that family's range without added scholarships. Many DC voucher schools are low rent, lie about their facilities, and show little or no academic advantage.

  • "...and 25% wee-err!" lol. so happy to hear your opinions and see you back in action again.

  • Well,mister

Tats what happens when a country thinks they are invinsible and keep on borrowing money for war.

Maybe US should shut up for a while and listen to the ancient Chineses or jap phisosphy

  • I think the idea was that taxes are going to be raised in order to pay for Obama's additions to the national debt. And the socialism bit being derived from tax dollars being thrown out to the irresponsible in the form of "bail outs".

As to your progressive answer... all existing evidence (UK's shamble of a health care system, Jimmy Carters Economy, etc) suggests the progressive's gamble is going to be lost.

  • That was the idea for some of the sharper tacks in the rallies, but I don't think it was the message that the general public saw.

  • That's b-cuz you weren't watching... *ahem* FOX News.;-) The other networks portrayed the rallies to be what they wanted the public to think, and that portrayal is exactly what U R reporting.

I'd be interested in hearing if you attended a rally, what you saw/heard, on the whole--not just from a few choice weirdos on the fringes. I didn't go because I don't see the effectiveness of it. Gov't won't listen until we get their hands out of our pockets! But I know my age group (30s) was represented.

  • Joe, you disappointed me with this one. Severely.

  • No offense meant, but what were you expecting?

  • Too much, apparently.

There were democrats, liberals, libertarians, independents, conservatives, republicans, and the like out there. It was ALL about the debt, and peacefully standing up to say "HEY, WASHINGTON - you're too busy fighting with the other side to listen to the PEOPLE! Listen up, we're not being represented!"

  • Really? You met liberals? Tell me about them.

  • Yeah the republicans mainstream support mainly seems to come from scare tactics and the "I'll cut your taxes" promises they always make. I think its going to be hard for them to beat obama in 2012 if hes done what he said he would do, and has improved the countries economy somewhat. Even if John Mccain runs again like he said he would. On a side note get a hair cut =D

  • Oh Joe. I've missed your videos.

You've still got it of course. This made me laugh. :] Love the joke at the beginning... x]

    Make more videos, 'kay?

  • missed your videos joe!

  • better health care?? thats why the UK and rest of the world that has the same kind of health care obama's people want to have here are telling us NOT TO DO IT! btw why is obama still on a campain? i thought the election was already over. maybe he should just snort somemore coke and say game over since he is just a freakin puppet to the dems.

  • Who's the puppetmaster? Is it that rascally George Soros?

  • pelosi, reid, clinton, biden

  • Genius, Joe that was really good commentary, you should have a show.

  • could'nt said it better micfri :o)

  • woo! joe is back with the kind of stuff that made him my favorite youtuber so long ago! :) 5stars & favorited

  • Good points of view in your video here joe, but how are we gonna prosper when the majority of the hard working american is getting laid off and out of work having the number of Unemployment rise and braking record high since The great depression..... but i hope this tax cut that we take would be for the best.....I hope

  • crazyboy, well it's no quick & easy fix. the stimulus is supposed to help in a few different ways though. and the economy needs to stabilize..

  • I find it hard to imagine the government efficiently bringing better schooling and health care. I look at this as more of a libertarian movement. The debt isn't just a word, we're going to see significant inflation at this spending rate. Small government and a true free market are good solutions. Do I think the Republican politicians are sincere? No. But the Republican voters are not far off. I don't mind that you disagree really, I just hate the stereotype that liberals make on conservatives.

  • Ok "Ozgarthe," you have to understand that Joe's comments are based on stereotypes, which, as everyone knows, are based on truth. There is just now beginning to be racial diversity in the conservative forefront and I, like many others, wonder if Michael Steele would still be the "GOP Head" if Obama had never even taken part in the election. Steele has already become a stereotype himself, but that's not the point here

  • zeperfectname, Ozgarthe and everyone else have their right to opinions and beliefs.... my own is above. I spent a few days in North Carolina AND San Francisco with Joe when on my way (also moving East Coast-West) to Seattle. I KNOW he's a great guy with a brilliant mind, sweet, too. So is my best friend here in Seattle. Both, though, have begun behaving as blind, unfair, and extreme as Palin. The "told ya so's" & "drink the kool aid" & "just wait for the fall" & "must stink to LOSE" are JUNK.

  • bravo to the last 30 seconds of the video Joe...Great Job summing that up!

  • LOL, these people are Mccain voters? It was a libertarian gathering. I was solicited by the Ron Paul camp (didn't go, I was in Italy). That's hardly Mccain voters though.

I think you have misunderstood some of the motivation these people had though.

  • It's a mistake to under estimate the momentum that can build out of movement like the tea parties. The Obama administration should head this off at the pass by paying down the debt starting with next year's budget. It's going to take balanced budgets, and the kind of fiscal discipline Obama promised during the campaign. Otherwise, you might see the republicans regaining control of one or both houses of congress in '10

  • I'll take that bet.

  • Hey Joe you should talk about the Texas Gov. mentioning secession, is he an idiot or what?

and have you ever thought about running for something in politics or have you already?

  • I watched Perry's comment and I think people are exaggerating it. The questioner brought up secession and Perry just did the Texas politician dance. Texans love to stroke their egos about how independent they are. You should see the commercials they air in those markets. Every product has the word Texas in it. Compulsory self-flattery.

Perry was trying to tow the line and went a little bit over it.

  • last comment. I consider myself an independent with a strong Conservative lean. That joke you told at the beginning of your video is extremely tasteless and wrong. I used to like your vids Joe but your obvious ignorance of what a true conservative is disturbs me greatly.

  • Man you need to calm down, big time. These are just opinions, no ones' forcing you to get into any of this.

  • I have calmed down now after stepping away from the situation. But I hate it that Joe's ignorant comments about the conservative movement is shared by many just as ignorant liberals. We conservative republicans are more than just "40 something white heterosexuals" as he and others want to keep on believing. I am a 20 something conservative white male, a friend of mine is a 30 something Chinese conservative. The head of the GOP is a black male and the 2012 hopeful is a Catholic indian!!

  • Yes, but your counter to Joe should be that you four are not outliers. Or were you suggesting that black Americans vote republican in substantial numbers?

Hate all you like, defeat the stereotype, or it remains true in the minds of us liberals.

  • Well said

  • I was never suggesting anything about the black vote. And the Republican party has defeated the stereotype, you liberals just insist on keeping a blind eye to it. You already skimmed over the fact that The head of the Republican party is black and that the 2012 hopeful for the Republicans is a Indian Catholic.

  • Yes, you said that already, Ozgar.

What you failed to do, and continue to by simply repeating yourself, is to convince me that the selection of a black to the GOP chainmanship is not just a gimmick. Just as the pick of Palin was a cheap attempt to benefit from the media hyping the "historical" crap they ran on Hillary and Obama.

And a catholic is nothing special. Heck, Romney should have won. Put a Jew, Muslim or Hindu in there and I'll consider the Republican base to have changed.

  • Props, Monchanger.

The GOP is small partly because it's unpopular among youth, women, and people of color. Naming exceptions to that rule won't make it bigger.

  • im a "youth" (15 yrs old) and im a woman and i am a GOP member and im guessing that you got this information from a network like CNN...because actually more Liberals and Independants watch Fox news than republicans do so the tea party wasn't a right wing fox ploy to get the republicans fired up. I usually like your videos but this one went to far over the line of what is ok to say and what is offensive!

  • I would tend to agree with you saying more Libs and such watch FOX. All the Liberal talk shows and hosts, ALWAYS talking about Glen Beck,Rush, And Bill O... I'm sick of it!

BTW I think when your older, you will be able to look back on this "tea party" and see it for what it was. A desperate attempt to fire up the right wing base. Either way you seem interested in the democratic process, and thats a kewl thing. Most people your age don't care about politics, so good for you!
