I posted this as a tribute to my cat Jake, who is being sent Home today after 15 years of a wonderful life. He will be missed. Thank you for posting this song.
Winston's album–Remembrance: A Memorial Benefit– was dedicated to those who had died on that fateful day of 9/11. All money that had been earned within this album was to help benefit funds upon those victims– except the hijackers, of course XD.
I think of all the corrupt power in the world turning to love and enlightenment, empowering us all to live alongside nature...with huge trees and sunlight shining through the branches, the sun sets, everyone goes into their forest homes. An old woman is tending her vegetable garden. Children come running in from the shimmering lake. I sit on a large rock with soft moss on the top and watch my village as it slowly fades into the night sky, revealing millions of stars as I wish on a shooting one.
This was for the memorial benefit for the September 11the tragedies. So beautiful and moving, the music reflects the heart wrenching events of that day. Thank you for sharing this Zymorek!
I imagine a forest scene and a woman is sitting in long green grass on a white frilly blanket near a stream and she has a peach colored dress and a ribbon is tied in her hair. She breaths in the fresh spring air and smiles. She is waiting to meet him.
I just love George's music. It;s so beautiful. It paints an image in your head. Like, for this song, I imagine a woman writing love letters to her boyfriend from abroad. But that's just me.
Care to elaborate on those "mixed feelings"? George is an extremely gifted, self-taught, musician. Also, quite versatile... on piano, guitar, and harmonica. He can hold his own on each instrument. It's highly doubtful that you can hold a candle next to his brilliant talent... so, why the negativity? Just enjoy his magnificent gift to the world... his musical abilities. He is awesome! And, "you" are... WHO? Just as I thought; we've never heard of you... for good reason.
I wonder why you felt necessary to add the last two lines? To offend me? Am I or am I not entitled not to like some of his music? To be honest I find his music at times repetitive and banal, but at times very moving and inspiring. This piece belongs to the latter, and that's good enough for me.

I was deployed in Bulgaria for awhile. Every day I would go in the Internet room and listen to this song at least once. It relaxed me.
