It isn't that cool, but it is nice to know there is car charges for the DS that come apart into a USB connector. That allows you to charge your DS from any USB port like you just showed, so you could also charge your DS from your computer.

I got one of those car chargers. THEY ARE JUNK! The car charger port broke after 2 months of use and after a year and the GBA/DS original plastic part broke off and was unusable! It only charged one at a time!

Alternatively, you can unplug your Wii, and use the DS wall adapter, and plug it in the slot left open by the Wii.

Dude... you don't need a car charger, unless you're on a roadtrip... it's not very useful anyway... They have a manual [I believe on gamefaqs] where you can make a USB charger out of an old SP/DS charger. I dunno if it's the same for the DS lite or DSi, but it's still easier and free. It's awesome if you have a GBASP power cable, considering you don't have to use it anymore...

to clarify, i was talking about something that exclusively with a USB while i was modding my wii.

The modded USB module i designed allows you to charge stuff (well duh USB), but it's also wired to do a few other things, like sequentially light up an LED board surrounding the wii.

The comment wasnt talking about simply sticking a USB cable into your wii and charging shit, theres nothing amazing about that. Modding is where its at, and thats what iw as talking about

Plug the USB plug to the Console while its ON and then plug the other tip or tips to 1 DS or DS Lite or a DS and a DS Lite.

lets say you loose it or you have younger sibblings or your friend wants to charge there DS but you have a different DS than they do. I have chargers only for the original 2 great Gameboy Advance SP Chargers ,the one for my DS and a Universal DS Charger which came with 2 tips 1 for the DS FAT and DSi. but the cable without shifting tips is a Lite Charger and all i have to do is pack the DS FAT tip when I go to a friends house who has the DS LITE

a couple things u can use to fix that....

(i wouldnt advise this but if u already did buy it...) rockband includes a USB hub. its like a little box that has a USB cord on it and 4 USB plugs. you plug that into ur usb port and ur wii now has 5 ports

also, you can get one of these at best buy or target or meijer or anywhere that sells electronics i dont know how much they cost cuz i got mine from rockband

its not really worth 160 bucks for it tho if ur never gonna play rockband ;)

I just used the usb charger cable for a battery pack I bought for my wii remote, it just so happened to be the same type of cable, so I can charge my ds from my computer now too :3 Pretty much anything with a USB port I guess.
