First of all if the holy spirit has to amend his word in EVERY bible. Than what give a Christian any assurance that the word of God should not be amended? If what you're saying is right then Jordan Maxwell is right. Secondly not caring about the origin of the bible you're reading can be fatal because allmost all bibles are perverted. If you disagree with me then an alterable word of God is not THE word of God at it never changes and never passes away.
To try and tear any Bible that may not firt your way of thinking just shows your lack of being blessed with the wisdom you need to understand it..it also helps Satan undermind Gods word..you give fuel for the unbelievers..True Christians know how to deceren and understand when some Bibles have taken or added..God will tend to them..But should tend to Just seeking Gods word where it is missing Peace
I find it best to actually get involved in actual textual criticism, learn the Hebrew, Aramaic & Koine Greek & read the ancient papyri for myself. But thats just me
I found an interesting document once (should pull it out again) from the translators of the NIV where they said they didn't adhere to the originality of the papyri in some cases because they felt if they adhered too closely to the literal words in the original documents, they'd lose "money on their investment" & couldnt sell Bibles
I have at least twelve different translations of the bible. In my NIV I was shocked to see you were right! Then under closer examination I found the verses you were missing in the footnotes following footnote markers in the verse. It is in footnotes because it is missing from certain manuscripts. The ORIGINAL KJV 1611 (in middle English) has these similar notes but were left in the text. Look at the footnotes I can see at the bottom.Modern KJV took out the notes and left the verse.
What realy offends me is this. No wonder the church is not fulfilling well its duties. I have a friend who is a domenican priest. He showed me what he studied. All philosophy of man. Were is God? No wonder another name for seminary in modern days is Cemetery.
@Krisfit138 the reason it is in the footnotes is because God says do not add nor take away from his word..and the Niv is following Gods word by not adding to Scripture as they found it..they know if the KJV has done so they will answer to God..But it is there for us to decide if you want to include it..But all we need to do is have blind faith and seek God with all our hearts and he will give us the wisdom and unveiling of all our questions..so we should not try and discredit any Bible of God
@LoneStar1776 Actually, the missing verses are there, but they are footnotes. The NIV is translated from older, closer to the original documents than the KJV, so it doesn't have that, but it DOES have it in footnotes where they belong.

wow, I learned something about the NIV bible. I have always been using the KJV version and now I am very glad that I am using the KJV. Thank you.
