  • Is it an assault rifle or an SMG?

  • @AntiTroll101

    both ;-)

  • @Samael241

Nope, it can't be both. It doesn't fire pistol ammo.

  • @AntiTroll101 It's a Carbine

  • The sigs are the most beautiful AR's known to man kind

  • Hello i am former swiss soldier and i still have my SIG 550, i would like to know how much the sig 554 costs in the US and if i can buy it in your country, Just how to deal with us autorities, because importing the weapon once in my possession isn't a problem :D

  • Very nice looking gun.

  • Such a beautiful fucking gun.

  • @silviogysin Ja, den kann man abschrauben. Weiss aber nicht wieviele es gibt. Gibt sicher ein paar Hersteller auf dem Markt.

  • @Samael241

  • i always thought it was longer

  • Nice gun and videos..what do you do for a living?

  • very nice my friend!

  • dude, u are the luckiest man alive! Thats in my opinion the perfect weapon

  • Man, I wish we could get those in the states. I mean the genuine SIG series, not the bastardized 556 version.

  • @Otacon237 There is nothing wrong with the SIG556. Watch your mouth lol jk

  • They actually have a lot of issues. The plastic stocks and handguards on them break easily, this is the most common problem. Some guns shipped with improper barrels that won't shoot accurately, and some guns have improper tolerances that lead to accelerated bolt wear. Also, many people complain that the top rail falls off and/or loses zero.

In short, the 556 is not built to the same high quality standards as the real 550 series.

  • @Otacon237 - Sorry "They" as sig556 or 553 sow? I own a sig556 and it dominates everything I have in my arsenal

  • The 556. I'm not saying they didn't make any good ones, but I know a LOT Sig owners that are pissed off. Apparently there's a lot of quality control issues.

  • @Otacon237 - Well you can ecpect that form a new weapon system (as in all new weapons out there) Sig must have sent out a bad batch. Nice cover up from Sigarms. lol

  • That could be it.

  • what's the caliber again? .303 or .308?

  • It's (like the most modern assault rifles) .223 Remington, in the rest of the world better known as 5.56x45mm NATO.

  • really? i was so sure it was .308 cuz i was watching a cop show on youtube a while back which described the Sig 553 as a .308. oh well. my bad.

  • @Samael241 .223 and 5.56 are different rounds just to let you know

  • @379peterbilt530 Yes, and it fires both of them. Here in Switzerland we have also the military GP90 round, which is even more powerful than the 5.56, and the SIG 553 fires it with no problem.

  • dont you need a class 3 weapon permit to own a short barrel rifle like this..

or can any 18 with a good backgroung own 1..??

  • In Switzerland everyone can buy a non-serial-fire-weapon if you are 18 and not criminal ;-)

  • yeah, well, you can do anything in switzerland. if i spoke the language, i would move there once i graduate

  • @gunnaboy70217 in kansas you have to fill out the sbr paperwork and pay the tax stamp

  • you should put a folding stock on it, that stock thats on it looks alittle strange imo. i also wouldn't put a foregrip on it, but thats just me. nice gun.

  • That IS a folding stock. The original one.

  • I wish we could get the 552 here. The 556 will do for now.

  • The 552 will be completely replaced by the 553. So if you can get a used 552, grab it ;-)

  • nice weapon i would love room clear with that bad boy

  • Me too ;-)

  • have you getten any range time with that bad boy yet

  • Yep, its a nice thing. With the reflex sight, you can aim very fast at the target.

  • what is the moa on that bad boy at 50 yards

  • Cant say that. I never made a real test about precision. I think it isnt as good as a standard assault rifle, cause of the short barrel. But you have here a weapon that is handy like a submachine gun and has the power of a assault rifle. Thats the reason i like it ;-)

  • i hear you the reason i was asking i know it a SBR gun but man you if really needed to i bet you could easily hit a man size target at 50 yards

  • Thats true, that would not be a problem.

  • so is that weapon for home defense or play and just wondering what kind of ammo you shot with it

  • Well, i shoot at the range with it. For self defense, i have the Remington 870 with rubber buckshot ;-) With that boy here, i shoot with Sellier&Bellot FMJ ammo.

  • nice man i would hate to on business end of that shotgun gun of yours rubber buckshot mega ouch!

  • I shoot with an SIG 550 every Week, we have got all the Military Version in the shooting club, there must be 30 Sig 550, have got Shooing lessons for young people, to prepare for the army, or to train for championschips. :D.

  • i could go find a 556 30 minutes from where i live to go to the united states sigsauer plant in exeter NH

  • Nice rifle I plan on buying one here soon too.

  • The civilian version in the US is known as the Sig556, funny enough. Comes with a fixed stock, 16" barrel, semi auto and 30 round mags. In California the mag must be adapted to become a fixed 10round magazine which "de-fangs the snake" as they say.

  • yet the gangsters still have full auto aks with 30 round mags

  • At first I thought you were full of it for stating this was a civilian model until I saw you're from Switzerland. Here in the US, this version is Class III even in semi auto. It's considered an SBR (Short Barrelled Rifle) if under 16" and requires a federal tax stamp. Any full auto versions cannot be sold at all to civilians because its manufactured after 1986. only LE and military can purchase the full auto version. Our civilian legal version is about $1600 currently

  • thanks for the info. Yeah I'm from the US so I understand my chances are slim, but I still like to keep track of these things. So most likely only citizens of Europe. hmmm

  • Otherwise, I have to wait over 3 months for a simple Taurus-revolver in .357 magnum. Good weapons are hard to gain ;-)

  • where can I buy this? And also, is there a long barrel version?

  • Yes, there is a long barrel version for the 553. Where an IF you can buy it, depends from where you come. I think it is really hard to buy such one outside uf Europe. Ask at your local SIG-Sauer-dealer.

  • Wow! If this is a real SG 553, it must've been really expensive!

  • Well, with all equipment (Handgrip, reflex sight) it was about 4000$

  • Geez, that is a real piece of equipment you got there! Is it a civilian model or a Classs III firearm?

  • It is a civilian model with single fire only.

  • ive got a SG 552 Swiss arms commando But there is no rail on top!! what can i do to have and instal it ?

  • i dont know, ive ordered my 553 without diopter sight, but with picatinny rail. But i think you can install a rail. Check out some equipment retailer.

  • buy one. I have the same brand as you... sadly

  • where do you live if you dont mind me asking? I too am a weapons collector and have been searching for a SG 552 or 553. I live in the US, so these are very hard to come by.

  • Yeah, i believe that. You surely know that SIG is a swiss company. And i live in Switzerland too.

  • hey Alter, es het e sooo viel Idiote wo meined es isch Softair. Chöned die ned e eigenie Siete mache...

Die händ all kei ahnig vo Botanik

  • Ja, i hasse das Softair-Zügs sowiso. Isch huere gfährlech wenn es Kiddie mit ere Softairknarre vor dir steit...

  • well, its a beautiful rifle. hopefully i'll be able to find one here in the states.

  • another question, how are the gun laws in switzerland?

  • Im checking the link you have posted and Im guessing this rifle is not a sig 556 conversion. I just want the stock damnt!

  • where did you get the stock?

i want one! please post more info

  • Look at the description for the link.

  • Real gun? WOW COOL just it looks like my softair :D

  • Yeah, but it's not softair. I'm a weapon collector.

  • Malaysia air force commandos known as PASKAU use SG 553 as their new assault riffle, they said that they are 1 of the first in the world using it, because the sg553 is design and build for US NAVY SEALS spec.

  • Yes, this is true. It is build for special operation units that are confronted with close quarter battles.

  • Have the same gun sig 5522 6mm 5joule! How much joule does ur gun have?

  • This is NOT a BB-Airsoft-Kiddie-gun! This is a real weapon with 5.56mm ammo.

  • what it the barrel length?

  • 226mm

  • Make A Video Of You Shooting It, But Other Than That Great Gun.

  • Agreed, please post a video of you shooting it at the range. The SIG SG550 series of rifles and carbines rocks my world!

  • sweat!

  • Thanks

  • Are you SWAT? How did you get you hands on this baby?

  • No, i'm a weapons collector. I live in Switzerland, and SIG-Arms is a swiss company, so i can buy those babys tax-free ;-)

  • well that explains it, I got to say thats a beauty!

  • Thanks! And with the Trijicon Reflex II on it, it is also a accurate one ;-)

  • Holy shit, is this real??

  • Sure. No Airsoft-wannabe-gun. Real 5.56x45mm-bullets.

  • oh man , real nice weapon there
