like other people, i cant decide between this camera and the hf s10/s100!!! I think the s10 may have slightly better quality but this camera has a viewfinder along with better manual controls, including the control wheel... so i just dono...
to be honest I really don't know. I know you can do the shutter and aperture, white balance, focus. Haven't really played with the manual option too much to really understand the features.
Hi Anihalas, not had chance to play with all of the features yet but so far I'm really pleased with it. The footage looks fantastic when played on my HDTV.
Based on ease of use and the iA mode and the ability for the manual features I think I would recommend this camera.

Doesn't look like my last comment posted - sorry if there is a repeat...
I have this camera as well -
Nice vid - looks great - what bitrate/resolution are you using in the video that you provided to Youtube? Also are you using h.264/mp4?

I'll need to check but think it was h.264 HD Divx

I'm thinking of buying TM300 due to the manual control and 3Cmos... but heard that low light performance is not good... how true is that?? Thanks

I do like the manual controls and time lapse recording. Most of all I love that it records 5.1 audio (can't really demo the 5.1 in uploaded video)

can you use full manual on it? or is there just shutter priority or aperture priority?

I can assure you the video isn't 'jerky' when played back on my HD TV :)
I should be posting some more videos soon.

Nice simple video. Shows off the resolution. Anihalas, did you decide to go with the S10 or pop for the 300?
This video is a little 'jerky' when there's movement. Could be my computer I suppose but wonder if it is an artifact of AVCHD.

Nice test! Would you reccomend this camera?
I'm still thinking the hdc tm 300 or the canon legria/vixia s10
