All the girls in my class recommended your videos. My understanding has increased, but my lady rapport has decreased. I am invisible now due to you and your videos. Thanks a lot Professor Heartthrob
Awesome! I was able to understand the subject right after I spent 10 minutes to watch this, while I could not understand at all during my 2 hours Cal 3 class. It is all spoil down to how good a professor can explain the part.
I'm in Calc 3 and we are doing Cylindrical Coordinates. My question has more to do with trig though. We just want to convert (4,-4,5) to Cylindrical.
r = 4 root 2
and x = arccos r/x which was 4 / 4 root 2 which reduces to 1 / root 2.
the answer was 7PI / 4
and for the life of my I can't figure out why!! Can someone explain why 1 / root 2 corresponds to 7 PI / 4? I know this is fairly easy but can't figure out the reason.
very well explained and very helpful thanks a lot !

Why did i get -16pi/3??????? WHY IS IT NEGATIVE!!!
iceprince90 1 year ago
@iceprince90 You probably made a mistake when you get 0 - -r
You probably got just -r instead of +r because you forgot one of the negative signs??? Just a thought. I just did it and got it right.
