  • DON'T use chemicals--they break hair because to straighten they break s bonds--get your water checked. If you use water that is alkaline so are relaxers the alkaline water puts even more stress on weak s bonds of hair. The STrongest hair is natural --notice how long rastas grow hair? If you want to transition from relaxed to ethnic, you will need to straighten the place between the two or it will break due to the old relaxed hair not able to support the weight of natural hair.

  • Whether your hair grows depends on what is in the water (water has chemicals in it and will react to the chemicals in your hair) If you get your hair colored or permed or relaxed it WILL react to the water--either in a good way or bad. WHAT is in your water depends on where you live. Indiana is a bad state for black hair as is Iowa and Illinois is not that great either. Ohio is wonderful as is Atlanta but the best place I've tried so far is KS --

  • @iamthequeenbee100 I've noticed that my hair thrived in the south, and is horrible lately out here in cali. but also, in cali my hair would get long when going to the beautician every 2 wks, whereas it breaks off horrible when I do it myself.

  • I wanna start taking the vitamins, but I'm thinking that it'll mess up my hormones nd what not, you know ? Does the bottle say or do you see anything diff or whatever ?

  • you have really pretty skin.

  • idk if they're from New Orleans.... but Winn Dixie is in New Orleans!

  • Winn Dixie????????????? City people dont have that. Chicago stand up!

  • How do you keep your new growth straight without using a perm?

  • I love all this info. :)

  • Weaves work for different ppl. It is not lazy to wear a weave, because some ppl just don't have all day to do their hair & all night to prep it for the next day. I don't get paid to do hair all day not even mine.

  • u r so pretty oh and i agree with ur tits

  • If someones hair isn't naturally curly they wont be using heat so that's irrelevant. :]

  • I love watching videos of black people with natural hair like me because it's so interesting to see all the different hair types and styles. I mean we are the ONLY people with our kinky/curly hair. It's beautiful and unique. But because it is different it was looked down upon. And now I see so many beautiful black women going natural to embrace the unique beautiful hair we were blessed with.

  • @giraffesrc00I

...Um. Define "bad hair" and "good hair" if you please...I hope you're not implying "bad hair" is kinky, thick hair. And "good hair" is loose, thin curls. -_- Good hair, is HEALTHY hair!

  • nahh XD you must be black..

  • When you flicked your hand... The light went darker.. :O Maaaagiic

  • There's no bad or good hair, all hair is good aslong as its healthy...but this video is a true inspiration the only thing I don't like about growing my hair out is ppl not believing its real..ignorant comments like that get on my nerves

  • im mixed and i have bad hair

thus proves you dont have to be mixed to have good hair

your beautiful the way you are. you shouldnt have to use heat and relaxers to make you look like something you are not. EMBRACE THOSE CURLS.:)

  • black people love them some WALMART XD

  • @destineeallen88 shut up please!!!

  • @destineeallen88 o _O I don't shop at Walmart..

  • How Long Did It Take For You To Grow Your Hair That Long?

  • how the heck do you deep condition hair?

  • @Feonalilly There are many different ways to deep condition. Personally, I prefer organic kinds that come from fruit and foods that are found around the house. If you want, I can PM you a recipe for a hair mask that works really well and is amazing for keeping hair strong and soft.

  • @BilliMonroe I sent you a PM, thanks :3

  • Do you put anything on your scalp?

  • fuckin sexy 😍

  • Your hair is absolutely gorgeous. YES, black women grow hair and from our very own scalps.

  • Thanks for sharing your tips with us. Appreciate it. Remind me of Song of Solomon 1:5. Keep up the good work.

  • OMG THANK YOU! i dont like the taste of water and my friends think im crazy

  • Can you deep condition with conditioner?

  • Sis... I appreciate you making a tutorial aobut healthy hair. However, it wasn't helpful for us, your viewers, to learn how to emulate what you have done if you wear a hat the entire time.

  • @Jesusafriend4sinners Shut up and also don't speak for all of us only speak for yourself

  • Great info. It's unusual to see a young lady really up on proper nutrition.

  • I have a question. I'm a natural curly hair African American too, but my curls are tight and get matted when my hair is dry. I get the leave weave out and keep heat out of it over the summer because first my mom doesn't allow weave, and two i like to swim. So my question is do you think braiding it is a good idea; also since my hair stays shoulder length braiding causes it to shrink so do you know of any braided hair styles?? Also where do you get the Bioton?

  • okay, so i have a question you know? i'm a african american woman too, & as you all know, we don't have to wash our hair AS often, but we still do. so my question is, when you dry your hair, why does our hair get all poofy?

  • @Fan4doanumber1 very.very. VERY good question. I wonder the same exact thing every time i finish washing my hair....

  • Loved it

  • Wow ur hair is even prettyer than whites and mexicans hair =P ooooo pretty pretty shiny shiny and thanks for tips

  • Thanks you have beautiful hair.

  • Meat is really bad for you! ALL MEAT!! Go Vegan and your hair will grow like a weed!! And you will live alot longer. Read this book "Skinny Bitch" it will change your live...and your hair :)

    Thanks for the video!!

  • As long as kinky-haired women nurture their hair the right HEALTHY way (which is w/e works 4 your hair), they too can have a head full of luxurious hair. We just have to work a little harder at gaining & maintaining it, that's all. But don't believe the (media) hype, it is NOT impossible ladies! Look at women like Kenya Moore, Tika Sumpter, Keisha-Night Pulliam & Oprah Winfrey.

  • are u from sumaliya?

  • @denisprowl YES! That irritates me too. Like it's impossible for kinky-haired females to have long, luxurious, healthy, NATURAL hair. I keep saying (for years) that as long as we take good care of it! The reason most these black girls hair are short, brittle & ruined looking, is NOT because they hair is kinky, but because they damaged it from years & years of relaxers and all the other crap they keep putting in their hair.

  • @MsHuman30 Not just that, afro hair is fragile. The fragility varies but also age makes a difference, stress, climate, hardness of water, genetic factors to do with how dry your hair is or isn't. People of other races do all kinds of damaging things to their hair and can maintain the length. The amount some of us have to do to take care of our hair, quite frankly is too much. I've always taken great care of my hair and still have problems (and my hair has been natural for ages)

  • @cresceremuoventesi --Afro hair is not fragile, it is no more fragile than any other kind, fragility comes from too much manipulation with combs, heat and chemicals. Blacks like to play with their hair in many ways, and because of that fetish, they often damage their hair because they never rest their hair--the one thing this girl says that I truly agree with.

  • @iamthequeenbee100 Well now you are just arguing for the sake of it and being ignorant. Afro hair is the most fragile of any of the races- that is a fact. I was going to tell you to do some research or ask a professional but it's quite commonly known yet you obviously don't know. It's due to the tightly-coiled structure of the hair and the low moisture content. Other races use combs and heat don't they? "Fetish"? What are you talking about? Use a bit of common sense.

  • @MsHuman30 i third that...lol...i alway get am i mixed...and i have "good hair" because my hair is long and thick...but my hair can be the same texture as theres only difference is length or wat may have u i had relaxed hair for the longest than cut it all of to transition to natural and before the length everyone was telln me to go back to a perm until the seen my length was back. Now everyone who was against my decision wants to do the same thing..Natural is beautiful & u DONT HAVE TO BE MIXED

  • I use garnier fructis shampoo and conditioner would that be a good choice of hair products? I have natural curly/wavy hair that is fine texture.

  • I AM BLACK THANK YOU VERY MUCH. GOSH .

    Nice hairr Btw .

  • @melindaminaj- stfu. That was a not needed comment. What you need to do is run to the store and buy some new weave because yours stinks.

  • Dats my Remi hair weave right there!

  • You guys should do Tips on beginners for Makeup!

  • All weaves aren't bad for hair, if you get a wig it protects your hair, sew ins and box braids can be damaging if done incorrectly. Weave (wigs) are your best bet if you don't want to deal with your hair when your growing out your hair, it keeps it away from heat damaging weather conditions and hair styles. Just make sure you take care of your hair when you have a wig on. Especially your edges

  • When you say try to avoid heat on your hair what do you mean? so what do you do after washing your hair?

  • @AddieBabycakes Avoid heat like don't flat iron your hair every day, just limit it the amount of heat, lower the heat on your flat iron or blow dryer

  • @MzRobynLove Thanks

  • When you have your hair curly, how can you tell if its growing? I've only had my hair curly for about 2 months because i have been trying to get my hair to grow longer.. how much more months to grow a few inches and how will i know.. in 2 months i see no difference and it feels like forever D:

  • @joejonasandchichi Lol they know it's true

  • sew-ins are a great protective style. especially if you take care of your hair underneath. that's when i really see growth. also, BIOTIN is like my best friend!!!! my hair is loving it.

  • @joha531 you stupid

  • QUESTION!: Can you guys show pictures of your hair when it was relaxed?

  • @iAmAesthete have u seen there other videos its there natruall hair

  • your so pretty

  • I know a way black people can get long straight hair but it involves a process I like to call "down with the swirl" ;D you wont get it but your kids will (rrrrrrrrroar)

  • @Socoolscienceshow LOLLLLLLLLLL! :) wahht?

  • @joejonasandchichi you find yourself a white guy with straight hair (I got straight hair just throwing that out there) and you do the DNA swirl and some times it works ;)

  • @Socoolscienceshow OH LOL! wow XD !

  • Please wean yourself off the drink mixes, crystal light, cool aid, tang whatever drink mixes = kidney problems and stones later on.

you mix it up, it dissolves and reforms in your body.

  • lol i love the way she says WALMART TARGET in every video

  • is that you real hair ???

  • @TheCarly459 IT IS!!!

  • Hey.I love seeing info about hair from my blk ppl.i know we all have different hair textures.i was wondering what is ur hair texture?I have 4c textured hair-i think..I have corse thick hair..it's a wave pattern.I am asking cuz maybe ur tips and hair products will help me.it's really a shame that our own BLACK people hate on each other. You guys need to really stop being closed minded and learn to be a family and stick together.we are the only race that does not stick together and it's sad

  • @neanealuvmuzik how do you find out the specific name for your hair texture and other ppl witht the same hair texture as you

  • @14jackieb I web searched it.I dont think it is thorough enough&I dont think it gives you all the list of textured hair. For example my hair is kinky but it has a wave pattern.those sites dont talk about that.i think they focus to much on curls. It provides pix of celeb's textured hair which i think is bias because majority of them wear weaves and you cant really tell by judging from a pic.the site gives tips on caring for that texture but it cant tell u how to care for your own hair.

  • @14jackieb u kno different things work for different ppl. its basically about trial and error.

  • @14jackieb try searching "what are the different types of hair textures". or "how to find my hair texture." Play with the wording. hope that helps

  • It's only a challeng for alot of black women because alot of them have been pressing and putting chemicals in their hair since they were little or for a long time, or it would grow most rich and beautiful. I'm half black and half white, my hair is more like my mother's who is a bunch of European mixes, but dominantly Italian. I've been Straightening my hair since 6th grade though, I feel like I have thinned my hair out and it was already thin to begin with. I'm definitely taking these tips.

  • You know guys I'm mulatto (half black/half white) and I can tell you that people that say that black women can't grow long hair are other black women that can't grow THEIR OWN. Other races don't care about African American/African hair; they don't even care about their own. I'm from Europe and here no one never talks about ''black people hair'' or ''white people hair''... there's NO such thing as that.

STOP HATING so much! mind about your OWN hair an you see how it will grow.

    Peace.

  • @TheMzLizzie Troll

  • i dont know if anyone have ever tell you but you look like ashanti a little that means ur pretty!!:)

  • for me its hard to believe that they dont use relaxers.

  • what about stimulating your hair follicles does that work??

  • Hair is Hair, 99.9% of the world is born with it, So Therefore Everyone is entitled to have any length of hair .

  • FART 3:34?

  • The African American Community as children seem to have their hair at it's "best" most if not a great majority of young girls always had very long hair because mothers usually kept up with and didn't put too much product in our hair. I know mine only Pressed my hair like once or twice a month and then my hair was usually braided, my hair was down the middle of my back. As we got older we took control of our hair, we started to do "too much" with it, over styling, piling too much product and

  • @Kittylove5 Neglecting our hair and fed into them crazy old wives tales to the point where our hair breaks and breaks, letting us believe our hair doesn't grow past shoulder length because we continue to do what wasn't great for our hair and thus the whole stereo typical "Black women can't grow long hair" came about and the BS about you have to be mixed to have long "good hair" was born and it's sad.;\

  • @Kittylove5 Really sad..especially since no matter what race you are, your hair grows between 1/2in-1in every month no matter what you do to it. It's just like you said, many women damage their hair so it breaks off all the time.

  • @Kittylove5 Sooo truuue! I know MY hair was definitely down my back when I was little, and whenever I lament that fact aloud, most other Black girls go "I knowww! Mine was, too!"

  • I Just want to know is that your real hair in this video ?

  • @BombshellMorena, Wtf are you talking about that made me ignorant, I guess it looks like you need glasses because you cant read.

  • Honestly how often do you perm your hair and how far in between?

  • @MISSESJONES91 they don't perm their hair , they both are natural

  • @xmiszbaddbish17 in a previous video they said they permed their hair so wanted to know what theirrr up dated regimen was.

  • @MISSESJONES91 They say they havent permed it in a year ,, as of now they're all natural

  • its sounds soo middle age to me when idiots think black women can't have long hair.......

  • @denisprowl YES!!!! IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!

  • Thanks for all of the tips = )

  • Ya know...you're one of the few that gives us ladies some advice on how to make our hair grow! THank you soo much for your time. I really appreciate it!

THe info is wonderful! Im starting today!

  • Thanks Kelsey, it has been working alot! :)

  • @zhay61 language please

  • Don't Hate! BLACK is truly BeauTIFuL! i.e. PauL MOONeY

  • Your skin is so pretty.

  • Try Nioxin

    "Recharging Complex" vitamins.

  • long hair

  • @ForeverCheer35 Sure I understand that is hard I am black too and I am straightening my hair too but.... I still wish that I wanted my hair to be curly cuz when I c it on other people I think its very beautiful but I just dont like it on me? and its very hard to take care of it. But still, I wish that all of di people could be happy with what they were born with..

  • Stupid racists.... Your hair is reeaaalllyyyy beautiful!

  • Ok couldn't find messages. I wanted to know can someone still cornrow, were wigs and do everything that you said and expect growth?

  • @melishak1980 i cornroe my hair, it grows fast.... you not black so you wont know

  • Thank you for your video. Great tips. I left a message in your inbox. Hopefully I will get an answer to my question.

  • @irocallday24 I totally agree with you.

  • Comment removed

  • Yea ok? Im confused? I didnt know that black people couldnt grow their hair long. I guess my friend isnt black. O.O lol

  • @alialialiali101 they can, its just that its hard

  • @alialialiali101 um no. I guess you're just ignorant.

  • Can u do a video showing how long is ur hair

  • Horsetail herbal dietary vitamins help hair and nails grow. I had ingrown eyelashes because I was taking the vitamins too often. Recommend taking twice a week, even if bottle says you can take them daily. My nails were really brittle from acrylic nails and I stop getting acrylic because horsetail made my nails grow so fast I was going in for fill-ins once a week. Nails are long and hard now. GNC and specialty vitamin stores sell them usually for 14.00 and up for 100 vitamins.

  • Your Hair Is So Beautiful :)

  • I cant post any comments test

  • Weaves are okay if it's a sew-in. I wore a sew-in weave for about 3 months and my hair grew over 2 inches.

  • I think weaves are okay. I've been getting them for a wile and they have been making my hair grow very long. I think as long as the braids aren't to tight and you take care of your hair properly like you said then you're good.

  • @irocallday24 i wanna start wearing weaves but i have a perm ? does permed hair grow ? lol mine has been around the same height for a long time . but i still do have long hair . it just doesnt go any where lol

  • @PurdyTeeTee Yea perm hair grows but you shouldn't get perms a lot because the harsh chemicals do mess up your hair. I currently have a perm in and a weave and my hair is growing fine. The only perms I use though are the Olive oil ones because they don't mess up your hair (that much).

  • @irocallday24 i know . if i had decent hair i would stop perming but its unmanageable w/o the perms & i`ll try those instead of the ones im taking then . thanks :)

  • @PurdyTeeTee Omg I feel your pain if my hair wasn't so dam wild I wouldn't get perms either but yea.. you're welcome :D

  • Do you guys get perms?

  • @LaniGabrielle25 duh but perms make our hair grow slower

  • Your Skin is like glowing!!! lol Beautiful

  • YES the morrocan oil works REALLY well... XD honestly, its just not cheap... depending on where you buy

  • ur hair is so beautiful

  • I'm not even going to scroll down, because I'm afraid of all the racist comments I'm going to see :|

  • @ForeverCheer35 why would you want black people hair to be straight like any other races. That was stupid, embrace you shit and be happy with it!

  • Beautiful healthy long hair sis, and thanks for the tips!

  • Comment removed

  • @ForeverCheer35 hey cheer up :) we're unique in tht we're the only race with curls n kinks like tht. Its just all about hair care, trust me, I've been at your phase but dont worry, its not one we're destined to be stuck in like alot of people make it seem. You shud check out kimmaytube :) i found her lastnight....I never knew Ph played such a big role in hair growth n quality....but dont feel despair! :)

  • I wouldnt say u HAVE to trim your ends every 3 months....because if ur doin everything else right u shud have really nicely preserved ends tht arent dry, split or brittle. Instead, pay attention to your hair, if months after u got a trim u see split or dry ends n knots then trim....but if u dont see any...dont trim, otherwise u'll be trimming away perfectly good hair :) So pay attention to ur hair n u'll kno whn u need a trim, I would never give an exact time at which hair should get trimmed

  • are you mixed at all? I am a multi starting from cherokee indian to european I have a little bit of everything.... umm my hair is on my back now I use a weave for winter and go natural outside of winter =] I also don't use shampoo unless I have other products in my hair and I started that journey a couple weeks ago and my hair is thicker and has grown about 4 inches so far. also do you use any hairsprays? I love you hair too it's so pretty and shiny =]

  • As a NURSING major I can say that vitamins are needed for hair growth.

  • how long did it take to grow your hair out that long?

  • wigs then?

  • Hey can anyone help i use smoothing conditioner and heat protective stuff before i blow dry and straigthen and my ends keep getting dry. Its bugging me soo much cus i also use deep coditioning stuff 1x per week.

  • @KTevolved Check out kimmaytube if u havent before, see her videos on Ph...I saw them n found them sooo enlightning whn i realised so many hair products have the absolutely wrong Ph for hair

  • i have a question: is it really necessary to drink 6-8 full glasses of water a day? i mean cuz who actually drinks all that water in a day? how about 3 glasses a day? 1 in the morning, 1 at noon & 1 at night?

  • @11rainyday The amount of water 1 should drink depends on body weight..contrary 2 popular belief. Not only does drinking water help hair, skin and nails, but your body consists of water. Many do not realize, when we do not drink pure water, we are more susceptible 2 diseases. Water with fluoride in it is even worse since it produces diseases like Diabetes, Cancer, heart disease, Alzheimers, Autism and many other illnesses. These are not rumor but facts the Gov will never tell u.

  • @11rainyday Water cures disease. A manageable patient is a profitable patient. This means..the more you depened on the Doctor, the more they sell sickness and disease and profit from all. Maybe some not deliberately, but that's why I trust in the lord and not man (who trust's the books and experiment at our expense) God Bless :)

  • @1badhoney Amen!

  • do you guys recommend perms ?

  • what is with people acting like black people with long hair is strange? with proper care just about anybody can have long hair. my hair is nappy but long and pretty! and whats with the black people and naturally curly hair thing? news flash EVERYONE, if your black your hair is naturally curly. we are not born with straight hair ya know. so obviously we blacks all have the hair type curly or weavy. its not just used to classify women with a looser curl pattern as being the ones with curly hair.

  • @cuttie676 naturally curly meaning curly not coily

  • i love steak too ^_^

  • great great and smart tips!!! :) definately knowledgeable

  • im a freshman in high school and i DESPERATELY want my hair to grow out so i can wear it curly more often and with control! how long did your hair take to grow to that length? my hair has always been an inch longer than my collarbone (straightened) and i want it to grow about 6 or 7 more inches by senior year, thanx(:

  • Just because she's black doesn't mean she can't have long hair.. fucking idiots... Stfu

  • @zhay61 ~stands and claps~

  • what about sewins

  • Hey.. Question.. how long did it take you to grow your hair to that length? time frame combined with all those tips?
