Rocktron Velocity 300 power amp v.s. Carvin DCM 150 power amp w/ Digitech GSP1101

By the way, both racks have a BBE Maximizer and a power supply. The rack with the Carvin is my main rack. The Rocktron prower amp is a good amp but not as good sounding as the Carvin and the Rocktron is more expansive and so much heavier, is almost as heavy as a tube power amp.

I am glad you notice the difference because the Carvin amp sounds much better and I think that is because of the Carvin's "EQ Expand" button, which enhances the mid section of the sound. On the video, both GSP 1101s have the same exact presets but there is a difference, after the video, I had to tweak the sound on the rack with the Rocktron Velocity amp to get as close as possible to the sound of the Carvin amp rack. The cabinets have Celestions V30s.

Is it just my imagination or does Carvin option sounds better? Seems more juicy sound and Velocity quite dry. What are other racks you are using: BBE, Powerpro, and LiveWire? I also wonder what kind of cabinets do you use, are there both the same?
