I cant believe someone can comeup withsuch deep lyrics, voice andoverall charisma. You cant imagine ow much how much I will pay in order oto be back in the late 70s in and underground joint ina JD gig with my buddies and a glass of scotch
IT HACKED ME OFF THAT FIRST THE SOUND WAS REMOVED FROM THE VIDEO (WHICH WASN'T REALLY THE PROBLEM) but now the video has been removed but the audio is back on, MAKE YER BLOODY MINDS UP!!! from a pissed off Curtis fan.
Truly one of the greatest and most influential bands you never heard of. To hell with the garbage they call music today,(AKA Katey Perry,Lady Gaga, Hip Hop, and Rap) so shallow and uninspiring. We need more music like Joy Division but unfortunately most people today are far too superficial and unintelligent to grasp such creative musical masterpieces that are Joy Division.
@Jarrodboy well said i agree. and rubbish like Eifell 65 and Justin Bieber and Rhianna. There is a new type of music you might like. An artist called "Paul Kalkbrenner" a song called "Far away in time" Original Mix. In ways this song reminds me of Joy Division but a bit techno. I like this type of Music. He sings a bit like Joy Division.
@Jarrodboy its a shame the way its gone, lots of live music venues stripped away over the years through poxy laws etc,the ones that get through now truly graft through little sweaty gigs that we forever remember the others just get a 5 album deal off simon cowell and are simply forgotten.
@4490red show off, hope you matched it with a nice big donation to a music and or mental health charity, think ian curtis would have been more happy with that than knowing any piece of music he made could be sold for such a stupid sum of money
Oh dear! joy dıvısıon were an ıdol for new order, that' a style of musıcal dırectıon and not competıtıve behavıor; lıke roxy musıc and joy dıvısıon were the fırst band of thıs musıcal dırectıon; our pop generatıon 've been developed and been grown up
I always wished Factory had separated 24 Hrs and Heart and Soul ie put on different sides on the album because the two are epic songs and before you get your nerves in order after Heart and Soul on came this gut wrenching track. Drained of emotions after 2 songs before the Eternal.
you're welcome. the beginning of the first song of that album blows me away everytime i hear it, and i've heard it a lot! the sound of the bass, the hi-hat, o my goodness, pure energy/emotion/ecstacy. the whole album is bliss."if you enjoy it only half as much as i do, you're still in for ahelluva trip.
Probably the most under rated JD track...of all of the versions out there this is my favourite.....mainly because of JD but also the late great John Peel......
He is sharing his fears and failures with the rest of humanity. Some people keep their inner turmoil and doubts hidden, and most closely guarded. As I said Ian C. wasn't afraid to make himself vulernable and give us music knit from dark nights of the soul. In doing so he reassured some that they are not alone.
And made it so hard for him to go on, whereas for the rest of the band it was much less emotionally straining. At least that's what I think, esp. after watching Control.
@cattachi pretty simple really, if your head gets fucked up with all the events in your life taking over you, and there is no way out, then yes you leave yourself open, curtis mentions the fact i got to get help, find some therapy but that takes too long, i have to find my destiny.................so he did
After hearing this last night I immediately ordered it on Amazon. can't wait to get it! must have played this 100 times last night. what an amazing band they were. New Order was NO ORDER.
Ian seems tired! But amazing as always.
