  • a calvanist and an arminian are having an argument one Sunday after church.. Little do they know a girl walks right past them crying. she is going to kill herself because church was her last resort and the body of Christ failed her. blinded by stupid theological debates we fail to be the hands and feet Jesus commanded

  • I've read the comments below. tothewestofyou, I'd like to understand how Calvinism makes Jesus similar to Woltan, Zeus, and any other pagan god. I'm not trying to start a debate, I'm just trying to understand the comparison.

  • 1:43 hahaha! love his answer. and I LOVE the way he says it rofl!

  • Calvinism is heretic and barbaric, It makes Christ look like Thor, Wotan or Odin, to the surprise of none really, it is a teutonic/anglo-saxon phenomenon after all.Evolucionary psychology, such an intersting field...

  • @tothewestofyou Good sir, if that's the case, then Augustine, Calvin, John Bunyan, Charles Spurgeon, ALL the Puritans, Hudson Taylor, and MANY more amazing men and women of God were heretics. I'd be very careful with that word my brother. It's a loaded word. I used to be an Arminian, and then I found out about the doctrines of grace, and God opened my eyes to their truth.

  • @MyBelovedIsJesus You know what? I am not here to pick a fight, but, calvinism is heretic, ask any catholic priest and the majority of protestants... even better, read the Bible, then read the old myths of ancient Greece and northen Europe, see if Christ has any thing in common with Woltan or Zeus or any other pagan "god"... answer: no.Calvin deformeded Christ, he was a sadist, that is clear to any one who read his letters,he made God look like him,a killer and toturer.

  • @tothewestofyou I'm not here to start a fight either. I will let you be. God will correct one of us on the day of judgment.

  • @MyBelovedIsJesus He will correct all of us...

  • But don't accept this because I say so. Seek the Lord. No one can receive ANYTHING unless it be given him from heaven (John 3:27). That includes Biblical truth.

  • @MyBelovedIsJesus Are you assuming I am not a christian? Are you judging me because I do not subscribe to calvinism? Do you even know how evil that idot Calvin was? Do you know that calvinism, not maxism, was the first totalitan project to ever see the light of day? Do some research on the history of your own culture before you pass judgement and spiritual advice.People like you are the reason christianity is so weak that even eloquent morons like Hitchens and Dawkins take shots at it.Imbecile.

  • "He will be called Jesus because He WILL SAVE HIS people from their sins." NOT MIGHT, BUT WILL

  • Godly pastors such as John Piper and John MacArthur are so few. We are so blessed to have people such as these men in America.

John Piper in particular is absolutely passionate in his love for God. John MacArthur is as well, but he has a different personality in terms of outward expressions of that same love.

    I KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVES!

  • Dude, this guy has really died to himself... and represents Jesus... Dig this; the word became flesh, so that the flesh could become the word. He indeed has done that!

  • Praise the Lord!!! that was such a beautiful explanation!

  • Glory to God! I love Dr. Piper.

  • John says "I would like everybody to be STUNNED by the magnificence and majesty of the glory of GOD".

When he says 'everybody' does he just mean 'all kinds of people' or all people in general?

  • I'm confused. Viewed through the doctrine of total depravity, is it really possible for everyone be stunned by the magnificence and majesty of the glory of God?

I guess what I'm thinking is that for a depraved being, wouldn't the magnificence and majesty of God's glory just look scary or cruel?

  • @RPM11111 What do you think he means?

  • I don't know. That's why I'm asking.

However, what he says, the words he uses, the sentence structure etc. sounds very much inconsistent with the view of calvinism which I believe John Piper adheres to. Unless of course John's love for humanity surpasses GOD's, ie., John wants everybody to be stunned by GOD, but GOD only wants the special elect to be stunned by HIM - which I doubt.

Anyway, if calvinism is true, John should know what he would like fits nowhere in the equation.

    Your thoughts?

  • @RPM11111 Acts 17:12 All the world or the known world?

  • @bigbadwolff1

Acts 17:12 "Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few."

What point are you drawing from this verse?

  • @RPM11111 sorry, acts 17:6b dont know what i was thinking

  • @RPM11111 I know this was 2 years ago but *ahem* lol. I interpret what he said as he would like everyone to be awe-struck by our heavenly father.

  • @danielkirk1

That's not the point I was referring to, but thanks.

  • John is a wonderful Biblical sound Pastor. And full of energy, yet without having to scream and yell. Thank you for your work Pastor John.

  • Who gave Pastor John a Red Bull?

  • Not funny....

    Ok, a little funny.

  • I guess thats what pentecostals mean.
