Actually king dededes forward smash is NOT the most powerful in the game! Bowser's is! Try it out yourself! Bowser's forward smash does 46% while king dededes does 33%. I keep hearing that dedede is the most powerful character in brawl, but it just isn't true! When it comes to raw power, bowser actually is the most powerful character.

Dedede is a tuned down version of kirby with a more powerful hammer. I mean, he can't be invincible. He can't copy abilities, and he's super slow. I'm sure that he would make a SORT OF powerful main, but that would take alot of work. His down b, however, gives u the same thrill as dk's, ganondorf's, and cpt. falcon's standard b's.

Jump ALL the time, but don't do anything while you jump, DDD is better on the ground. It will confuse your opponent like hell, since DDD is thought to be like Kirby and stay in the air alot, so they'll be prepared to fight you in the air.
Hown down on your DI whenever you jump, and make sure you can't be read.

Dedede is actually my favorite character. It's easy to surprise people with his excellent chain grabbing. I personally use the down grab A LOT, accompanied by a forward Smash attack on the edge for an easy KO. And spamming minions pays off. I'd like to see how I would do in a tournament with him...
Dedede is one of my fave characters. I just love his Forward Smash. Sweet damage and knockback. Plus you can say "Hehe, you just got pwned by a huge penguin" if you win. ^^
My Friend loves to abuse Sonic for his final smash and me using DeDeDe caught him off guard the first time because of his high jumping. Won after I spammed him with those minions.
Well, there are already quite some people playing with D3 at tournaments, and that pretty well, another proof that heavy characters don´t automatically suck.

No, Ganon's attacking speed is abysmal, too. He's just screams "SLOW" overall. That's not to say he's a bad character, though. Anyway, Dedede is awesome. He's my second sub, first being Wario and my main being R.O.B.

King Dedede has a rushing tactic where you can grab someone, throw them down, rush in and repeat. It makes him at least one better characters in the game.
A lot of times speed doesn't matter because slow characters have the strongest attack capabalities and high defense, due to most slow characters are big and\or fat making them hard to get off the ground a lot. Such as Bowser,Gannondorf, and DK. Speedy characters may rack up damage fast like Sonic or Toon Link but that only makes them vunerable to being hit a lot, and most of the time having short ranged attacks again, like Sonic. Sometimes slow characters are better than fast characters.

Dedede is actually my favorite character. It's easy to surprise people with his excellent chain grabbing. I personally use the down grab A LOT, accompanied by a forward Smash attack on the edge for an easy KO. And spamming minions pays off. I'd like to see how I would do in a tournament with him...

Dedede is one of my fave characters. I just love his Forward Smash. Sweet damage and knockback. Plus you can say "Hehe, you just got pwned by a huge penguin" if you win. ^^

My Friend loves to abuse Sonic for his final smash and me using DeDeDe caught him off guard the first time because of his high jumping. Won after I spammed him with those minions.

Well, there are already quite some people playing with D3 at tournaments, and that pretty well, another proof that heavy characters don´t automatically suck.

I think Dedede is the underdog in Brawl since there are already a lot of heavyweights. However, you never know, he might just surprise us. Dedede has interesting moves accompanied by power. It's too bad that people think he's a bad character.

eh Dededede special isnt great at all is easy to get around on most stages and yes he is slower then bowser and mayby ganon ganons moves are mostly slow so thats the main problem with him mif you wana fight with ganon you gotta have timeing and accuracy skills or your gona get taken advantage of and bowsers decent hes a little slow but playable very dedede however is to but youl need practice

No, Ganon's attacking speed is abysmal, too. He's just screams "SLOW" overall. That's not to say he's a bad character, though. Anyway, Dedede is awesome. He's my second sub, first being Wario and my main being R.O.B.

Dedede is hard to use, since his attacks are relatively weak for a heavy category. However, he has the useful ability to multi-jump.

i am looking most forward to D3 i think his hammer is the shit man. i loved being bowser in melee and getting flogged around for a bit before i got that one smash in. nothing like a slow character's smash it empties the battlefield.

King Dedede has a rushing tactic where you can grab someone, throw them down, rush in and repeat. It makes him at least one better characters in the game.

A lot of times speed doesn't matter because slow characters have the strongest attack capabalities and high defense, due to most slow characters are big and\or fat making them hard to get off the ground a lot. Such as Bowser,Gannondorf, and DK. Speedy characters may rack up damage fast like Sonic or Toon Link but that only makes them vunerable to being hit a lot, and most of the time having short ranged attacks again, like Sonic. Sometimes slow characters are better than fast characters.
