  • What a cheap piece of shit. Go back to gym class

  • Wowza! this is too good for a school project. Congratulations! excellent stuff...

  • Great short film!

  • How'd you get the Huey in your film at the end?

  • I love the FCPX Sounds :)

  • really really cliche choice of music

  • @KangOhDayumn that was the point

  • lol that's not tropic forest

  • To be honest I don't really like american war movies but overal your footage is awesome, well done

  • VERY well done, kids! I was there from June 1969 ti November 1970, took 4 hits, and you did a first class job. Make one for real and it will sell! Thanks!!!

  • @skudaarkaat1 You don't know me and probably never will, and this may sound random, but I want to thank you for your service. What you did, whether or not you were in real combat, which apparently you were, is beyond words. Thank you so much for serving and you will always be in my memory.

  • Well done!!!

  • a schoolprojekt ? Thats Hollywood !

  • how did you do the bullets flying over there heads where did you get the effects??

  • Nice job son with some critical technical errors. Vietnam grunts Infantry did not walk across a open field shoulder to shouder but in a straght line five meters apart with a point man and a slack man. Been nice if you showed the dinks, gooks with Aks shooting back but overall good job for highschool kids. Vietnam vet infantry 101st Airborne Divison 68/69 Hamburger Hill.

  • @3:05 This sign is "covering fire: "Stop" sign is a open hand

  • 3:27

i thought russians were fighting AGINEST the americans?

never knew they worked together in vietnam... lol

  • 0:49 a little too much of the dirt effect and your hero isn't a smoker.

  • the dislike bar looks like a lightsaber!

  • @vangoghbestfan u are just copying what other ppl say for get thumb up

  • 1:06 You can see it's a spring airsoft M16 with its mag cut in half. You can see the bottom cut off.

  • this is the terrible form of cinema or anything in the same category i mean this the most crapiest piece of shit ive ever seen

  • TANNO HIDEKI BANZAI !!!

  • This make Vietnamese people like me feel bad

  • One day him and his platoon are on an average...

So, if you remove "his platoon":

    Him is on an average...

Where is him? Is him in the helicopter? No, him is on the field.

    This pisses me off :(

  • I dont like how you have World War 2 gear in this. Its okay.

  • fuck!you make the history wrong!

  • It's good but the scene where they are retreting, they should be running buy they a kind of joging

  • really good and i am about 2 film a vietnam war film (check out my channel!)and was wondering where did you get your M16 sound effects?

  • Nice work.

  • You should have put them on LZ X-Ray in the La Drang Valley. Thats right in the shit. I didn't see any M-60 gunners either they would have made the firefight a lot more bad ass. Also no unit patches? Also try some Vietnam music like Fortunate Son, or We Got To Get Out of This Place. For a High School Video this really good though, so no hating.

  • i would love a tutorial on how you did the special effects in this video :)

like the battle scenes, explosions, and the where you found the sound effects

  • everything is good apart form your screen size. you should make it widescreen, not letterboxed

  • love the usage of the music

  • @theclash181 thanks

  • i thought that this wuz pretty good

  • Hey this movie is pretty dope. pretty epic in scale, despite its small size. And i was gettting a little burned out on all the WW2 film class films. Combat scenes are pretty good. My advice for the best fighting scenes are from, hold for it, Doctor Strangelove, that kubrik cold war comedy. Watch the film techniques when the army guys have to attack the air base...the camera is in the soldiers' point of view. You used a conventional "all seeing camera", panning and above the men.

  • damn, it's better than 80% of polish action movies. What kind of camera and programs you used ?

  • @Zhreddek thanks! shot on the dvx100b and edited with final cut and after effects

  • were did u get the m16's from?

  • Please, Do not bring this sadness back

  • wow a miss quote

THE SOLDIERS IN VIETNAM COUNT PRISONERS AFTER THEY LAND

IT WAS S.O.P. TO THROUGH MEN OUT OF CHOPPERS FOR INTERROGATION

  • @Mr420pot420 it is a good "film"

    but not at all realistic

  • nicely done;)

  • @ScrewedCompany Thanks

  • Viet Nam deserved the victory

  • @11bangbangable What are you talking about?

  • Too much yellow in my opinion...

  • Great effort~ Im no war vet but who will hold their position in an open field waiting to get some~

  • Oh Bramabull51... John Wayne was doing that for years...

  • Great to hear the yanks waffling on about a policing incident and sending in their advisors on one of their earlier forays, and keep getting it wrong...

  • Hmm...where the rank structure at and I like how no one reload 20 round clips after shooting 30 rounds or more. Good filming man but do some more research next time. The flute music made it sound civil warish. No goddamn Officers or NCOs. No m60s or stoners. Im pretty sure the enemies whethern they were NVA or Russains had you infamous AK 47 (that makes a unforgettable sound should you be shot at). I bet if you remade this and make it a WW2 style film it would have been better. :)

  • the enemy fire sounds like 1,200 RPMs atleast....since when did guks have MG42s?

  • what did you get on the project

  • at least pretend you are smoking lol

  • These special effects are ass.

  • @iCHARRLZ it's not hollywood bro, you try do better

  • dont cross streams!

  • at present, Vietnam is preparing to set up a battle field with China. bad luck that we always be the target, but luckily, we is goin to win China.

  • Loving how no one reloaded lol!

  • At 3:21 you know there is going to be a ambuse

  • american bastards

  • @goshekhan Racist bastard!

  • what's with the flute shit!! get some fucken voodoo child!!! ..good filming though.

  • @aarontheairsofter and have it be like every other vietnam war film ever? no thanks.

  • @rosenchuck1 Because in a way the music defined the generation that fought.

  • @rosenchuck1 it would've been a lot more appropriate with the times... I'm sure those soldiers weren't listening to Vivaldi at the time.

  • @aarontheairsofter Agreed this is fucking the vietnam war it deserves some classic rock!!!

  • Useless eaters huh,Henry Kissinger, you will die before the second coming, you BASTARD!!!!!

  • wow unlimited ammo

  • @rolficus omg its a no budget high school movie, chill man

  • make a sence there is alot of soldier in action not just a squad and dont make them pull back ffs

  • Nice Job ! :)

  • where did you get all of the apparel and weapons????

  • they should have played era music like fortunate son or something.. would have been more cinematic

  • War is an invention of mankind. War is slaughter and it should only stay in videogames.

  • @beaverlover22 we got out because we were losing way to much men, and critisize the government, not america. if you knew anything you would know the whole country despised the war.

  • @beaverlover22 The image faded due to reporters staying and reporting from rumors and hearsay in hotels instead of being out in the field. Only one couple was out in the field reporting. Where is the facts in your arguements rather than personal views and philosophy? Everything I have said is well documented. You are arguing off of falsified information and personal viewpoints.

  • @beaverlover22 It was no war and it is documented that the Americans never lost a battle. And no-one lost by association due to the fact that we stoped siding with the south vietnamese and pulled out. The bastards stopped pulling their weight. Your giving me a bunch of hearsay. Argue one bit at a time instead of wasting a whole page to make you look smart about something that you clearly misunderstand plus you still argue off of oppinion and hearsay. Dig into the facts. It was not a war.

  • @beaverlover22 Plus your fucking canadian. What the hell would you know about vietnam? Your basing your arguments off of hearsay and not of factual evidence. Argue with logic rather than opinion and emotion.

  • @beaverlover22 Your statement would be valid if it was actually a war and not a CONFLICT. There was no war declared by either side. Only a temporary conflict. War hasn't been declared by the U.S since 1941.

  • @beaverlover22 We withdrew due to lack of money and popular vote from home. We were not defeated. We were not forced out. We left by choice. We did not surrender. Your a 19 year old seemingly intelligent teenager. Do some research into the subject. We won every single battle and never lost anything. We were pulled out due to popular demand in the united states because of the national Anti-War movement which is documented and proven to be financed by communist backed funding.

  • Wtf was that piece of crap video about?

  • Hey we are from Germany and your movie is a very good inspiration for our Movie, the graphics etc. This Movie ist very very good and i know how hard it was to made this short movie

  • Why do people say we lost the Vietnam War, we didn't lose, South Vietnam Lost, because everytime we depended on them to hold their lines so the NVA wouldn't advance they lost, therefore the NVA advanced into our Coalition Territory. Thats Part of the reason we would get ambushed like this, because we would think that our South Vietnamese friends held them back but they didn't so the NVA would wait for us and them raise hell. We also pulled out of the War because we couldn't support it with money

  • @RememberTutorials Thats the worst argument I have ever seen to back up why the Americans didn't lose the war.

  • @ownedinthe2260 Dude, you're a British 30 year old, unemployed youtuber WITH A SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS BACKGROUND on your profile!

You have other things to worry about other than a war that happened 40 years ago!

  • @MrNelsonButterscotch You really think the information I put on my Youtube account is actually accurate?

  • @RememberTutorials What you posted is wrong. Learn history, not propaganda...before the NVA was the Viet Minh, an abbreviation meaning "League for the Independence of Vietnam" formed on May 19, 1941, to seek independence from French rule. After Việt Minh beat French 1954, Viet Minh became North Vietnam. US backed President Ngo Dinh Diem for the South Vietnam in 1955. But since he wasn't popular with the Vietnamese, US allowed military coup to oust him in 1963. It was an American War after that.

  • Why are there so many dislikes? This is AMAZING for being made by high schoolers.

  • pretty good but slow going.

  • Because when we are gone-- when the brave little fighters kick us out, and we finally lose all stomach for this wretched, knotted puzzle of a war--no one--NO ONE-- in south-east Asia or anywhere on Earth, will look at what is left of Vietnam and think it smart to fuck with the United States.

  • Though our generals are stupid, our strategy so poor as to all but guarantee defeat, though our morale is trampled in the deepest ditch, shot through with heroin and bitter failure, though we face the bravest, toughest fighters, strange little men with hearts like tigers, though we make the world despise us, though we do things that'll strain our souls forever, though America eats its own intestines over this, cities riven with unrest, leaders inspiring loathing and distrust...We cannot lose.

  • the us lost the 'nam for one reason and one reason alone a failure to whole heartedly support our troops in that !@$@$@$ war. all vets of the 'nam were much like the main charactor in this short film. and when in the #&#$ you never know when or who will buy it or get the millian dollar wound. you did a good job at displaying just what the @$@% is like. however platoon is still the best at said. maybe couse it is from my time. maybe couse no other movie was filmed right after the 'nam was good.

  • You hate us?The Americans? We are humans too!We were brothers,we were fathers,we were sons and we were soldiers! We stuck up for them when they threatened their rights nd were monsters?Your sick......

  • The US hasn't formally declared war in 70 years.

  • LOL! "B-b-but they had more casualties than us!!! That means we won!!!" as if this was a freakin' game with a tally at the end... idiots... The NVA and VC ended up taking over the country when the U.S. pulled out, just as they would have had the U.S. not intervened, so basically the end result is the same, but you guys were then short about 50,000 troops. The NVA ultimately achieved their objective, the U.S. didn't, and they never should've been there.

  • @Jeffko78 True the US did acheive most of what they wanted, to push those fuckers back and officially we WON the war its just those people who like to think we lost just to make the US seem weaker..

  • sooo whats the name of the song ?

  • hahah i was in the vietnam war now it aint like this mickey muse bullshit there were gooks swarming all over the place and there were fuckin bugs every where i wish i was in iraq instead of of nam

  • Guys hello. We're a Greek airsoft / reenactment team. We saw your video and we like it a lot. We're about to make our own, at this period, regarding the action of the Greek army in Italy in 1944, and we desperately need assistance in what has to do with S. FXs. In particular, we need special effects of salvos and "dropped down" bullet shells like the ones showed in your video, while your guys open fire with their M16s. Can you help us?

  • Well made, interesting but...during the firefight they fire tens of rounds and never reload...unreallistic, but it sure suits better the action scene. Good show however.

  • lmao Vietnam reminds me of adult swim when they say in robot chicken "Most of us will die in Vietnam, but it shure does teach the Americans about fighting needless wars :D"... i have a slight thing in my head that says its offensive... i dunno...

  • Pff, go play the game vietcong if you want to have an Vietnam war exp.

  • U SHOULD OF MADE YOU PROJECT A LITTLE MORE INTEXSE AXD MORE REALISTIC

  • watch?v=KnYAC2_hnKg

  • 0:45

lol behind the scenes someones throwing dirt at them xD

  • /watch?v=IZmiclGNu_A

    please watch my war movie!

  • I worked for the army as a civ and I think the realism is great. If these kids had some more money they would whoop Michael Bay.

  • message to translate audio on closed captions, message reads: fail. just fail

  • LOL @ 4:04 - worst muzzle flashes ever. Too bright, too prominent, and it looks more like fire than a flash. LOL it look like a cartoon.

  • This is FFF!

    (Fucking,Fake,Fail)!

  • i loved it, next time i guess for bullet flares, use something bit more realistic, i know rest were bit hard to do, but atleast the flares could have been realistic.

  • Amazing.. but the music SUCKED

  • Well done, I admire students that give their all to what they love.. I have a project I'm shooting towards the end of june.. Let me know if u would like to be part of it.. It's a great script and won' be an average low budjet short film.. it's 25 minutes and includes high end cars, clubs and a yacht.. Email me if interested, LVSOCCER484@YAHOO.COM

  • Does anyone else think that the Vietnam war has a lot of similarities with the Pacific front of World War 2?

  • @NathanH97 both were in jungles

    both were in asian continents

    and

both were a living hell for an American G.I.

  • @Destroyer4292 and in both, those who started it did quite well and thought they would win hands down, but became too overconfident which resulted in their failure.

  • @NathanH97 Uhhh...but we lost the Vietnam War.

  • @Destroyer4292 I said similarities, not exactly the same.

  • @Destroyer4292 Officailly we won it casualtywise we lost as soon as we left the NVA and the Vietcong invaded.

  • @Destroyer4292 no we didn't we did are objective but gay liberals pulled us out b4 we could finish we wiped out 2 generations worth of viet Cong and only lost like39,000 so ha

  • @Destroyer4292 dont say that we didnt lose vietnam the politics lost vietnam and we shouldnt have been there in the first place

  • @Destroyer4292 we didn't lose that war champ... us lost 47,378 VC lost 1,100,000 thats a fucking win...

4rth LAR DELTA CO 4 BN

  • @lonewolf22447 The goal was not to kill the most enemies, but prevent back communists forces from taking South Vietnam, which they did in 1975, two years after the Americans pulled out. Plus, US lost 58 000 soldiers and its allies (Cambodgians, South Vietnamese and French) from 200 000 to 300 000 compared to about a million North Vietnamese AND citizens.

  • @lonewolf22447 you seem like an idiot

  • @lonewolf22447 As I understand you were part of Delta Co 4th bn, but could you tell me what is 4th LAR, please ?

  • @Destroyer4292 The error in your logic being that it never was a war and we never lost it. Nobody lost and nobody one.

For future reference, it is a conflict.

  • @StalkingSpartan actualy it was a war

  • @Destroyer4292 WE pulled out, didnt lose. We won the battles and got the fuck out of that shithole because we didnt belong there.

  • @Destroyer4292 No we didnt but we didnt win either!

  • @7sadbeeyotsh7 You didn't lose the war but you lose the vietnamese spirit

  • @Destroyer4292 it wasnt a war....it was a police mission...

  • @Destroyer4292 we didnt lose there was stalemate and both sides agreed to pull out and release all POW's

  • @Destroyer4292 We officially won but unofficially it was a different story. We acheived our objective then left. Our objective being to push the NVA ad Vietcong out of South Vietnam which we did but they took over after we pulled out of Vietnam.

  • @Marinesofairsoft1121 you don't know every things. We paid our blood for the uprisings , you killed my ethnic. you said "every ethnic have the freedom" but you got it from my ethnic. You can think you won but the world thinks you are inhuman.

  • @bennynguyen2603 you cant spell man

WE killed the NVA and Vietcong so that communism would cease and so that the south could have freedom, the wrld thinks YOUR bloodthirsty because you raped and killed southern Vietnamese children and women your sick monsters who crave power and land. The world thinks were brave and just for giving the a chance at freedom!

  • @Destroyer4292 it wasnt a war it was a police movement

  • @Destroyer4292 Well, we lost by default. We won alot all the battles, but no-one in the US wanted us there and too many civilians died. More than 56,000 US troops died, but more than 1.5 million Vietcong were killed, along with a SHITLOAD of civilians, and some other shit with the government so we ended up leaving. Of course not before fucking the country up.

  • @Destroyer4292 No young man we didn't lose. We were unsucessful.

  • @NathanH97 yes it is :D

  • @NathanH97 that's because the origin of the vietnam war was the pacific front, but fought by the french.

  • @NathanH97 not really.

  • @NathanH97 same climat.. ;)

  • @NathanH97 a decade and a half apart... in the same fucking continent :l

  • @NathanH97 the pacific front had a purpose, the Vietnam war diden't plus the vietnam war had way more casualties than the pacific,

  • @DARKANGEL21ful Actually more people died in the Pacific War than in the Vietnam war. It's estimated that between 2 - 4 million people died in the Vietnam War (including civilian deaths), whereas it's estimated that up to 20 million people died during the Pacific War (again, including civilians). Looking at just American military deaths, the National World War II Museum in New Orleans states that 106,207 U.S. soldiers lost their lives in the Pacific War, in comparison to 58,220 in Vietnam.

  • @tomsomerville93 its actually "Pacific Theater" not a war to its self the entire war was the European Theater + Pacific Theater

  • @Gunnut321 You're right in saying that it's not a war in itself, but actually, the Pacific Theatre and the Pacific War are two different things. Originally I thought it was just called the Pacific Theatre as well, but apparently the name Pacific War encompasses Pacific Theatre, as well as other theatres such as the South West Pacific theatre and the South-East Asian theatre.

  • @Gunnut321 Hey hate to point out something but you know there was also battles in Russia and Africa to name but a few. You American have been involved in a lot more than Just two HBO mini series you know... or maybe you dont

  • @tomsomerville93 Yes but the Vietnam War was by far more harder. I would even say scarier if I was a soldier fighting there.

  • @DARKANGEL21ful does it matter how many pepole died in ANY war? no it doesn't matter how many pepole died the fact is pepole die in was no matter what and you shouldnt point that out waar is still war.. . . . . no matter how many pepole died

  • @tomsomerville93 who cares they fought thats all that matters

  • @NathanH97 As in Guns, killing, Oriental looking enemy, Americas habit of more men over logistics, yeah I guess so..

  • @NathanH97 Hardly

  • @NathanH97 squinty eyes? idk.

  • @NathanH97 like how he said they count the causilties before they get off the chooper same thing they did during ww2 count the men before they get of the ship or plane

  • Nice one

  • i give props to directer nd every1 in the set even the actors!!!

  • Very good. For a bit of military nitpicking, the soldiers were walking too close together (5 metre spacing is usually the standard). Walking into an open area surrounded by forest, and then standing up and running away while under effective fire, are probably the worst combat decisions possible, but that might have been intentional.

  • @MisdirectedSasha yeah and the tiny details like canteens or helmets kinda got on my nerves hahaha what can i say im a war nerd

  • Fakest M-16 sounds ever
