  • I agree with this video completely, the RIAA needs to stop stealing from the artists!!

  • Anyone who creates something has a god given right to profit from their ideas. If you 291 disliking asshats think otherwise I bet you've never created anything yourself. How many of you work for free, hmm?

  • Only a few dollars...

  • This is an awesome song by Addie Brownlee, and a super clever video!

  • This is a great enactment of how it feels to have some one steal your ideas. I suspect that a lot of people who try to justify stealing music, movies, games and other content have never had something which they created and truly cared about stolen from them. Every human being has creativity in them and everyone wants respect and acknowledgment for the work that they do. If you believe in human rights and human dignity then help artists to protect their creations.

  • guess what almost all of the money from record sales go to producers and record executives, the artist barely gets money at all especially if they didn't write their own songs artists get money from merch sales and guess what LIVE PERFORMANCES dont buy your music and fill the pockets of wealthy record executives, download illegally and support your musicians by going to their shows and buying merchandise

  • Really clever video!

  • industry and artist MUST adapt to new ways of getting profit in a free circulating information society, not the other way around

  • They got this exactly right. This is just what it feels like to have your songs ripped off by illegal down loaders.

  • @RCarnes2008 Except, not. Only those who have no understanding of what piracy is or what it means feel hurt. In truth, and this is backed up with more and more research (just search google scholar!), piracy increases sales. Every claim by the music, movie and video game industries has been debunked and economically trashed. If you create anything, share it. You'll reach a wider audience than you ever did before, and your profit will skyrocket. Piracy is not theft, it's sharing. It's service.

  • @Echoen I absolutely agree. Even if every single song was free artists would still have countless ways of making money off of their music. They make most of their money going on tour and getting paid way too much money to put on shows. They can also make money via countless advertising streams. If you have a lot of people's attention then you can make money.

  • @RCarnes2008 No, it's wrong. The reason that musicians don't make money is because record companies extort them. You think the record companies aren't making enough money to be able to pay their artists? Think again. They simply won't. I personally don't download 'illegal' music because I live right near a second hand CD store, but if I were to, I wouldn't feel bad one bit about it, because the money that I would be paying would never even see the artist.

  • @RCarnes2008

Do you play music? Are you in a band? I can tell you from personal experience that downloading music DOESN'T hurt your sales or people checking out your music. Majority of people will download a song, and if they like it, they'll pay for the CD, which I fully support.

  • @RCarnes2008 That's bullcrap. Most of today's artists whine about piracy all the time, but they don't realize that they would never have been so popular without it. Just look at how rich some of them are.
