  • great stuff, man. i m a beginner, please tell me, how the strings are tuned? thanks

  • coooool man!

  • i met the guy who made thoes yesturday

  • "works for me" 2

  • Thats awesome! i tryed making one today out of an old mini keg but it didnt turn out as awesome....what kinda wood did you use for the neck??and would you consider doing a how to?

  • great stuff! let us see the instrument in more detail!

  • Ooh, yeah. Go on, stick a transducer on it - you know you want to!

  • yes yes!

actually gonna make one with a slightly smaller coffee can (chock full o nuts size....great coffee for the working man!)

and yes, i'm gathering info on how to do just that.... :)

    a little overdrive maybe...eh? eh? :)

  • Too cool!

  • thanks Deach :)

  • Sweet. I have not seen one with the strings going into the can like that. Makes using a smaller can work out nicely.

  • thanks Yoppy....

tried a bigger costco coffee can, but it's a bit uncomfortable to play...gonna try a 'chock full o nuts' can next....and maybe a piezo pickup :)

  • Just great!

  • thanks John! :)

  • Wow! That canjo totally rocks, Todd. You are the king of DIY.

  • thanks so much :)

  • cool

  • thanks.

  • Very cooooool. What a great sound. Seasick Todd FTW :)

  • ha ha...thanks dear Anna....

i love what i've heard of Seasick Steve....

and his guitar ....'the 3 string trance wonder' how can you get any better than that? :)

  • That sounds great!

  • thanks so much! :)

  • A man. A garage. A can. Amazing.

  • thanks Bruce......i love it!

    truth be known.....

i'm kinda challenged when it comes to building stuff....undisciplined, never raised up in a very mechanical environment, but hey....i'm having fun....and i think i'm getting a little better with practice....

everything's by 'eyeshot' mostly....a little tape measuring.....use a level? pfffft naw...i really should though :)

  • That is awesome.

  • thanks bro!

  • very cool todd :)

  • thanks Lisa :)

  • Your creativity astounds me. That was too cool. Liked the "extended reach" pick as well.

  • thanks Kevin....

i don't know what i'm doin' really...i thought the large coffee can would make a bigger sound....thus the need for the credit card pick ;)

  • you are strong to the finish cause you eat your spinach! Your popeye the foreman Todd!

    Excellent!

  • ha ha...excellent...thanks Mjs!!!

  • The strumstick looks fun, but I'd like to hear a toddstick (or maybe a toddshtick). Popeye's Forearm sounds great, and I like the name you gave it. You will never throw away anything ever again. You'll see music in everything now.

  • thanks so much Don :)

  • cool.

  • thanks Frank :)

  • Todd.

Loved that . Now I wan't to learn to play real blues! Inspiring.

    S

  • thanks Ken,

    todd

  • love it

  • thanks Mark....have you raided your tool shed yet?

  • Not with anything quite so cool as the canjo, but I have made a foot percussion thingy. I went a step further than yours and added a foot strap. I'll show you on the next vid, when I find the time to do one. You need to do a "how to make canjo" vid, please :)

  • Too cool, bro.

  • thanks so much Baron :)

  • I'm not sure even Mcgeyvor could do what you do. Very cool.

  • Mcgeyvor ha ha ha! haven't heard that name in awhile...thanks Jim!!!

  • Sounds great!! I feel inspired to create!!

  • do it do it do it :)

    thanks man,

    todd

  • nice sound! thats a cool instrument!

  • Great sound from that can Todd...You're a magician!

  • ha ha thanks James....do i know what i'm doing?....not so much...

do i have fun....yes...most of the time ;)

  • Excellent, Todd. Sounds beautiful. Look forward to hearing the strumstick.

  • thanks so much Ken....i'm lookin' forward to playin' around on it!

might try and make my own

    todd
