Sorry didn't finish.... Breastplate ... I've been searching online for a recording every since. Anyone know the name of a CD thst has this piece on it, please?
I've only recently begun listening to Arvo Part's (don't have the right font for the correct sp) and this was my first experience with this particular piece based on the tradtional St. Patrick's Breatplate
I had the good fortune of hearing the Latvian State choir perform this...haunting only begins to describe the experience...another excellent version is Rita Connolly rendition of Shaun Davies' arrangement
...It´s so pleasant and comforting to listen to Arvo Part´s music and at the same time, to read your moving words, unknown brothers and sisters from all over the world...
....moreover, it´s 2 o´clock on Christmas Night now: cold and snowy outside, but very warm inside.
...This music is our true fatherland. No other place could be called so.
@Gunnarr123abc Agreed. Here's a good recording of Pärt's Cantus in memoriam Benjamin Britten, with about 15 seconds of silence after the final note is struck before the audience begins their applause. watch?v=82-xbhfNR2g

Arvo Part is again absolutely fantastic. Music which belongs somewhere in between Earth and Heaven.

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ in me, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks of me,
Christ in the eye that sees me,
Christ in the ear that hears me,
Christ with me.
