Yeah I watch the news, or should I say the media spin of the news. The war on drugs, war on terror, war on illegals, these are all just props to keep Americans from focusing on the root problem which is the hollowing out of the American middle class for the benefit of the few at the top rungs of society.

You make a good point, again under the Reagan Administration tax rates for the highest income earners were severely cut while social spending was also cut, but military spending was dramatically increased and remains half your federal budget. America leads the world in bombs and bullets but little else. Thank Ronald Reagan for setting this course and for the Bush, Clinton, Bush Jr. for keeping it that way.

The loss of manufacturing jobs in small town America has been happening since the Reagan Administration; what with the beginning of free trade, deregulation and the cut- backs in federal investment to public infrastructure like education, healthcare and housing, all the things that would help America compete in a global economy.

The Goodyear and Corning plants in this story weren't full of illegal alien workers nor is it the fault of illegal aliens that these plants closed.

People worried about illegals are the same people worried about losing out on the last crap job at the bottom rung of the local Walmart.

?What Obama means by change is making America a healthier host nation for its owners - the parasite Jews. for 30 yrs, 2/3rds of the US economy has become accounted for by consumption alone. mass industry has taken root in world-zones other than America.

in that same period, corporate wealth has increased while the average income of the worker has leveled and now, decreased.

that's the ultimate reason for the current crisis: the income distribution of 2008/09 is the same as in 1929. that should ring the bells of class conflict.
