the first time i heard this song was on their concert, i got first row. they played it last, after moonlight. i'd gone to school in the morning, so by the end of the concert i was really tired; so when they played this song, i felt so comfortable that my body automatically felt safe to rest. when i was about to fall asleep, that boost at 5:19 happened. i almost had a heart attack, but a good one! =D

i think they're different. obviously the quiet/loud aspect is basically the same, but in terms of the mood set by each band, they're different.

MONO are more delicate and the music moves you more. Mogwai, for me at least fits more around the mood and the riffs. MONO seems to be more about density.

having said that, i realise i'm trying to over analyse two of the most amazing bands ever. both incredible live as well.

Both bands are ridiculously good. I've been lucky enough to catch both of them live, and I've gotta say that Mono blew Mogwai out of the water. If you read or listen to interviews that Mono have done they talk about trying to connect with human emotion and even as a metal fan, they definitely had everyone in the room on the verge of tears, amazing group.
