my parents were never into the beatles and neither was i as a kid. i remember seeing the movie across the universe and just hearing the lyrics, it was like a whole world of undiscovered music, that meant lovin' life and being free. After that I went out and just listened to their music. It really is powerful stuff and timeless too, no matter how much time passes you can always come back to the music. even if I wasn't born till the 80s, didn't hear 'em till the 2000s i love them.

i was born in 1979. i wasn't familiar with the beatles until about 1992. i bought a t-shirt that read, "u may say i'm a dreamer, but i'm not the only one" underneath a pic of the globe and a peace sign, at age 12 in 1997, and had no idea what it was...just admired the message...the beatles are eternal. doesn't matter what year u were born. it's up 2 ppl like us to keep their music and message alive. :-* godspeed

In the book 'Lennon in America', which I do not like, Lennon is portrayed as a borderline anorexic: in fact, the books puts him that way. I hate how sensationalistic that book is, although from the late 60s onwards Lennon dramatic weight loss really caught my attention. I do not think Lennon was anorexic, but had bizarre eating habits.
