You can get online now for Omega strain, someone made a private server to do so. Just go to gamefaqs and head to the omega strain forums to find out how to get online.
@Tbar67 I'm glad to hear there is private server up and running. Good luck to all the other players playing and finally completing their respective created characters. The radio headsets were a must though in working together and some people actually had cheats enabled to run fast etc etc online which made things doable. Glad I have a few completed characters for keepsakes. Happy playing.

@lorzate I agree however you still can't complete all the objectives and the jump glitch can only take you so far. You still don't get the team patches. While this game was exceptionally good for it's time, the flaw is that they f'd a lot of people over that didn't have online access. If there was a way to post my saved filed to the net I'd do it in a heartbeat, but where would the fun be in that?
@lorzate to my understanding some servers are back up but haven't verified that and best way to do it when playing with others online is to use a two way headset to communicate with other players and that really worked well many years back as I played with people that knew what they were doing. I have yet to see someone posting a video of getting the jump glitch correct in the silo and I'm sorry, you just don't have the time allotted to blow up the bridge in Belarus.
@lorzate my guess is one would need to hack the game to make the character run faster etc etc and even if the silo were possible with jump glitch (haven't ruled that out), the problem is that if you fail you have to start from scratch on the mission and it just becomes more of a nuisance. At the very least you should have been able to call the elevator back down in the silo to try again. Poorly designed game but had its fun moments.

There is a 30 second interval timer between switches and dieing causes 10 secs to be lost( not including the time to run back and kill everyone around you) Stopping the tank in Belarus 2 is easier than this because this LITERALLY has to be done on the first attempt and you MIGHT make it in time. Why did they even shut down the servers anyway? They should add this to PS3's PSN store for download with the servers back up or something
sounds like it can be done solo then. Easier to do it in team mode though however it makes me wonder if there is still a server left to log onto and whether or not anyone would still be playing the game. Thanks for tip on stopping the missle and jumping higher.
@shaithis50 yea it can i have completed it offline 2 times in my life :P you have to have alot of luck to, unfortunately there are no servers online left, it can only be done in the offline mode
@lorzate fortunately I did save a few completed characters from having played back in 2006 when I was still playing and on the road. So I guess I wasted my money on a headset for nothing :( I know it isn't worth wasting the time unless I'm really bored but that is what the game is all about anyway: fun. That really leaves not being able to save the steel mill/warehourse workers in Belarus.
@Flipazn777 That´s the part that really got me upset! I have completed the stop the missile from launching, 2 times. And when i got it the first time i didn´t get T-3.. that sucks, but what i need to do, is also completing the bridge, on Belaraus 2, solo but i haven´t completed that yet. After i finish that, i get T-3 :p
Nice. I'm trying to do this AND destroy the bridge to stop the tank. So bigger weapons helps? This means the .50 cal sniper would be a good option? Thanks
from the beginning you gotta run fast and not geet killed, skip to help Stone and when you are in the huge silo room he starts to plant the C-4 so the time bugs

@AliG200 yea but you can skip to help Stone, because he will complete it himself, you don´t need to help him, and the objective completes by it´s self :P and yea the time bugs, i was to quick into the silo by don´t helping stone out.
@AliG200 if I might add onto the discussion. You can drop into the silo early from the top if you want to using the jump glitch however the doors won't be opened and no enemies will be in there so a pretty good way to wander around and practice.
