  • Mozart is my Nr. 1 composer. Who is your Nr. 1 composer?

  • 00:09 I always thinks of Freddy got Fingered when I hear that music

  • History of Music Pachelbel

  • I like all of these recordings except the ones from Don Giovanni...the vibrato is WAY WAY WAY to excessive. I am sure those singers have excellent training, but they sing by exactly that: modern training which likes the over excessive use of vibrato when vibrato would usually only be used on sustained notes and only at the very end of the note. Not the ENTIRE note.

Besides this, good recordings and excellent choice of music. :)

  • a good undertaking thanks

  • Thank you for your 'History of Music' which so thoroughly spans through the ages of this art. I only think you should have dedicated a whole video to Bach -as you did to WAM and Bethoveen, I think he deserves it as well as they do. Well, it is but a detail.

  • at 07:23 sounds like mature couple having orgasms.

  • @LoveOlderWomen xD That's nothing. I heard this soprano on the radio who sounded like she was having sex. I'm not kidding. I was like, "What the hell?!!" It was the funniest thing I've ever heard!

  • @LoveOlderWomen That's one way to look at it...

  • Mozart definately deserves this section all to himself, the man was brilliant!

  • I think it was a very good idea to give Mozart this section all to himself. Except for a few disgruntled Bach-fans I believe most people will agree. Mozart was brilliant! You can hear the voice of God in his music!! And by the way, I tend to like baroque music better dan classical music.

  • i luv this mozart was such a genius

  • How come Mozart gets a section all to himself but Bach has to share with lesser lights?? Surely Bach is every bit as important in the History of Music as Mozart??

  • You are right, importance of Bach is definitely the same, but I tried to put there also as many as possible of "famous" and popular pieces. And Mozart simply has more of these hits that are familiarly known by everybody.

  • Thanks. Your series are very good - i hope you will do another say, on the history of folk music or the history of "pop" music that the "average Joe in the street" listens to... from Medaeval troubadors to Beyonce!

  • Definitely not. I don´t have any idea about Beyonce...:-) That is task for somebody else.

  • @HolyMotherofGrid I'll take that role. Check out my videos.

  • @myhistoryofmusic you missed out Brandenburg Concerto No.4 Allegro, thats a big hit from Bach

  • @HolyMotherofGrid Handel, Scarlatti aren't lesser lights. They were acknowledged greater than Bach in their time. Learn about music.

  • @HolyMotherofGrid I agree with you! Other composer deserve more work TO BE PRESENTED ! I do not see London Bach! Where are examples of wonderful Salieri's operas? It is called Mozart's IDOLATRY!

  • I am going to apply for University and I need a Baroque, Classical/Romantic and Renaissance piece for guitar. Along with a 20th Century song as well. These videos helped me narrow down my choices. Thank you! But i still don't have a good Baroque song

  • omg! how could you forget symphony no.25!!

  • I "forgot" also 38 other symphonies... Symphony nr. 25 is definitely beautiful, but it´s difficult to get all in 10 minutes. And in my opinion (and not only mine) symphonies nr. 39, 40 and 41 are most important of Mozart´s symphonic work. There are many well-known compositions that didn´t get there.

  • Great videos. Thank you !

  • I hope you continue with your History of Music vids - I'm hooked!!

  • arrrrgh where's the sixth video! where's the Beethoven? Weber? Schubert? etc...

  • Your five videos are great

    good job, thank you
