They fight for their independence just like Eritrea. Eritrea wasnt a part of Ethiopia until Britain gave it away around 1950 and neither was Ogaden until it was given away sometime in 1940-50.
They need full independence, and TPLF was first fighting for Greater Tigray and were just a joining the ride of Eritreas movement, they were much weaker than the Eritreans and they didnt fight for democracy.

They fight for their independence just like Eritrea. Eritrea wasnt a part of Ethiopia until Britain gave it away around 1950 and neither was Ogaden until it was given away sometime in 1940-50.
They need full independence, and TPLF was first fighting for Greater Tigray and were just a joining the ride of Eritreas movement, they were much weaker than the Eritreans and they didnt fight for democracy.

Being Somalis doesn't mean that you can't be Ethiopian. Unlike Somalia, Ethiopia is a country with many groups of people. Not just ONE group with ONE religion. Ethiopia is multi-cultural.

Ogaden will be Free from what? Somali-Ethiopians are Free to do what ever they like. Who do you think enjoy the best life Somalis in Somali region or in Somalia? Ogaden has never been a part of Somalia, it has never been an independent country. Only political affiliation it has is with Ethiopia and it will continue that way.
What has the fighting lead to so far? Only more suffering for Ogadenis, nothing else.

You've also alienated fellow somalis in the region. This isn't black and white..it's shades of gray. It's not always you against the whole world. Frankly, the ONLF is to blame for their people's agony. Just like how Hamas is to blame for their people's fate. Mostly everyone sympathizes with the situation of the people in the Ogaden but the ONLF is a terrorist group that is guilty of killing foreign oil workers and other Somalis who inhabit the region. Many youth in that region love when they hear the elders call for arms against the "christian kuffar" xabashis as they call them, but hey you may kill 10,20,30 of their troops but they inflict much more damage on to your areas. they are far more stronger in terms of weapons and man power. rethink this.

If so Ashkenazi Jews have won numerous nobel prizes but Mizrahim, and other eastern Jews have not, they both are the same religion but why the discrepancy? Socioeconomics. Had you lived perhaps 700 years ago you might have asked, why are Christians so numerous yet so backward and the Muslims so advanced?
