@MatthewstormC nope. they debated making a big epic ending at the end of season four but there wasn't really enough time to 'do it right,' so they shelved it. initially they hoped to make a proper ending at some point but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

then again scott wills said (at 6:41) that he almost doesn't want to know what happens to jack in the end. it doesn't matter so much as enjoying jack's never-ending quest

It's too bad it got watered down to the end. I don't know what it is with Genndy Tartakovskys shows but they always start out great and then they get into this vicious period of crappy, unfunny episodes.

The same thing happend with Dexters Labratory and Powerpuff Girls, you all know what I'm talking about...

Samurai Jack was awesome, but it could've been better. I just think Aku is far too goofy to be "pure evil", there were other bad guys in the series who could've made a better villain than he was. Second, I know it's for kids but killing robot after robot got old. Third, Jack is a very boring character, it's just his mysteriousness that keeps him interesting. Change these three things and the show would've been perfect.

Cartoon Network only lets a series go on for 3 seasons max no matter how famous it gets. It sucks but it's in their contracts :( I'm sure the artists would like to continue but I guess CN believe it's "too much of a good thing."

@itssangman That's just not true. I was looking up teen titans recently, and it mentioned that it was in its 5th season before it was cancelled. And just going off of memory, there were a hell of a lot of series that went on for over 3 seasons. Dragonball Z went on forever for example. Maybe you're thinking of the Disney Channel, which I'm pretty sure has a policy like the one you're describing?

Hmmm well, I'm not sure what conditions/contract Teen Titans was under, but Cartoon Network does have a 3 season limit. Dragonball Z was a show created in Japan and just aired under CN so that's an execption.

It's just that I'm an animation student and some of my teachers worked at CN so I've been told how things work. It's very possible that they just renewed Teen Titan's contract. :D

If the serie would have countinued and progresed it would be of Jack you remember the episode when he fought that guardian over a timeportal but did´t make it cuz he was to strong then you see that the time will come when Jack is older grow a beard and is king over the lost land or something. The thing is maybe is mission is to free the future from Aku then build a happy kingdom have a son and then the son goes back in time and stops Aku where Jack failed. But time paradox thinge there.

That's what I loved about this show. Hardly any talking at all. A slow pace to let you absorb the beautiful art and then stunning action sequences! Truly a show like no other. I know it inspired me! The simplicity of the drawing style allows for more complex animation whereas in most other shows you get detailed characters but stiff animation.
