@TheKnock5 turn off decals, however you cant do this on the xbox verison of the game, only the one for the computer. decals will also turn off bullet holes, burn marks, shotgun shells, etc etc

This is not Legendary difficulty. It is Heroic at best as there are not enough enemies in a numer of spots (ex. only three invisible elites at the end vs the 6 that there should be in Legendary. ex2. only 3 jackels in the first engagement after activating the cartographer vs the 8 jackels that should be there in legendary.)

you have to take a detour to another room in the map

You can do it even quicker if you use the warthog to ram off the edge that you get the cut scene at. If you do it righ tyou can land right where you activate it.
