E39 M5 stock engine sound reving

Nice car. I am thinking about buying an e39 m5 or a w211 e55.

Was your e55 the 476bhp w211 model? If so, does the m5 feel a little slow to react at low revs when compared with the m5?

Also, outside of general servicing, has either car been expensive in terms of parts failures, faults, breakdowns etc...

Put some glasspacks on it! sound much better. cool car though, only BMW I like

what was wrong with the e55? thanks, im thinking about buying one.

nothing, a deer hit it and totalled it, pretty much, and I missed manual very much so I sold what was left of the e55 and bought whats up above.
