why do they make fishing look so complicated... it really isn't. If you need more than $100 worth of fishing gear and tackle (rod/reel included), your not doing it right. If you need to analyze this much to go fishing, your wasting your time.

@kibble999 M8 youve bascially jus listed a load of different types of corn. The best baits for roach are maggots caster and hemp. If you fished corn and i fished maggot i would without doubt outfish you. As far as boilies go m8 u might fluke a bigun on a 20mm boilie but its nowhere near the best tactic to catch them.
I fished a dyke at the side of a mixed lake...i caught about 13-14 roach using 2 red maggots in about an hour...weights varying from about 6oz to 1lb 2oz. I was fishing on slow flowing water about 1 3/4 foot deep, slightly above the bottom. Red maggots are a good bait for the roach.
im a begginer at this and im going fishing soon for roach and perch and i just wondering on what i need when i go? what type of flout,bait and what depth they hang around(mostly roach). please get back to me coz i realy would like to catch some fish.
bait : maggots/worm my favourite worm to use to catch roach and perch is blood worm other people have different opinions and depending on wher ya going try a bit of hemp seed hmmmmm now a float well i can't answer that question ar the depth it depends wher u go
yeah, if you can, i tried 2 red maggot's i got 4 roach in about 30min, i tried 1 red 1 yellow and i got 12. 1 perch with a yellow maggot. everytime i get a bite the yellow one is missing.
