Honestly, other than Exile, were any of the endings "good"? Myst - brothers trapped forever. Riven - Ghen trapped, age disintegrates beneath your feet. Then this.

Yes. Catherine moved all of the Rivenese people there before Riven collapsed. As Catherine is entirely Rivenese, and Yeesha is herself half Rivenese, Catherine probably plans to teach Yeesha about her heritage.

The actor who plays Atrus is actually the CEO of CyanWorlds, the developers of the game. He has played Atrus since the very first Myst game.

I really wanted a game were it depicts the remainder of the childhood to adulthood of Yeesha. And it also shows Catherine and Atrus getting older.

@mojofro Don't forget the three hour puzzle to fill the kettle from 4 of 5 different worlds, otherwise the tea won't taste as good, and you might get killed by sirrus if you get the wrong water. Also if you breath in and out in the wrong sequence in one of the worlds Ghen kills you and steals your body.

I just finished this game, and went onto youtube to make sure the ending I got was the good ending, because the so-called good ending really wasn't very good. Achenar didn't need to die :C

yeah it was upsetting when he died, But that's how Achenar wanted it. He risked his life to save his sister, that's probably something no one would have thought of.

It wasn't really retcon. They were just trapped in those books. Then again, I think that the games could have been completed with Riven, I think personally. The ending to Riven is just so gorgeous and...complete.
