  • im so glade i got rid of that case fucking shittest case ever. Corsair 650D FTW <3

    nice vid thow

  • I used velcro for my cable management. $2 for 1.5 metres from The Reject Shop. May be able to get some from a $2 shop.

  • what's a soada cable ? lool

  • Nice job on your cable MNGOMANBOL&BMOME$NT =~)

  • The camera is shaking too much; and lighting is bad. I cannot see inside very well

  • Thnx, really usefull. I have a Tempest but atm the cables are scattered throughout the whole case. What paint did you use for spraying the case?

  • @MaykelBoes Thanks, I made a tutorial on spraying the inside of a case. Just google "Paint Interior of Case" its the first link that comes up.

  • @grpace Thnx, I found it. I think I will leave it like it is. I'm not sure if I can do the popping of the rivets and since this is my only PC, I'm not risking it. ^^

  • Hi i have seen this completed on seperate video, can only assume they have lined up hdd screw holes at front panel fan side and marked and drilled two new holes in cage this would account for drive sitting out of rear of drive cage sorry if this does not help.

  • @Minty9167 Im sure it would work but would require quite a bid of drilling since the cages. Slide on a rail. Would love to try it but I upgraded to a lian li and the tempest is just gathering dust :p

  • Tip: reverse your hard drives in bays and route sata& power cables out to rear panel for better cable management and clean finish.

  • @Minty9167 I've tried many ways its not possible with the fans installed :p

  • I commend you on your efforts. Just a comment on the 8 pin cable routing, why not buy an 8 pin extentsion? Then you could route the cable behind the MB?

    Just my 2 cents....

  • If you notice. I actually still have an extension on... so either way extensions help. But other than that you still would have a large cable going along the top of your motherboard tray that would be visible so drilling the hole is beneficial.

  • I just got this case in the mail today very roomy when compared to my current one I plan on posting a vid when i get it done. I will note that I likely have a newer rev. of this case, there is an opening in the back that you could easily route the 8 pin, so it appears as though that have addressed that issue

  • I really like the tempest and it seems as if u got the tempest evo. I can;t wait to get my hands one of those they look awesome.

  • @grpace you sir are correct, its kinda weird though newegg did not have it listed as an evo but it definetly is, they have a $20 rebate with them now :)

  • you should have seen my cable management when I was building my computer..... horrible! lol... I was in a hurry, but yeah I am going to rebuild mine and put your tips to use

    Thanks man (5 stars)

  • Beautiful work. I was slightly put off getting the Tempest when I read a review that said it was too shallow under the mobo tray to properly manage the cables. Glad I saw this. Cheers

  • Thanks! For even more room u can dremel off the lip making it harder for cable management.

  • I dont mind doing all this work, but imagine if you have to change your psu... :(

  • Its not that bad. I find it fun... is that weird? lol

  • That hole on the top is a very good idea. I was just thinking about doing it myself. And i find it amusing when you say "a basic cable management tutorial" BASIC? :D

  • Haha, it can be tough at first but after the first time you get alot better at it.

If I were not to say basic I would build it from the ground up for you lol

  • haha nope i love it too: )

  • whats that blue box on the power supply?

  • Cold cathode box.

  • Yeah, the metal lip at the bottom of the motherboard tray makes it difficult to thread cables under it. I think NZXT could have made it easier for us. :D

  • What you can do if it bugs you is a take a jigsaw/dremel or what ever and cut off that lip. Would make cable management alot easier. The nzxt tempest 2... One more drive bay for 3 fans plus optical... Black interior More room for cable management Better cable management holes Aluminum not steel Hole for retention plate Dust filter on side intake and a hole for psu to be mounted with fan facing down as well as a fan for intake from the bottom. That would make life a lot easier...
  • Yeah, for sure. The PSU hole would be great and the retetion plate hole would be damn convenient.

  • This is a perfect guide. I've been having a few issues getting the side panel back on and there is a bit of a bulge in the case, but I should be able to sort that out.

  • Thank you. If you dont mind a bulge i should be alright. On mine I try to keep it one cable deep but most times it just isnt possible. I feel the pressure on the side tho.

  • is there any cables that should not be run next to each other? or should all the cables come shielded?

  • I assume by shielded you mean sleeved?

It really shouldn't matter if the cables are being run next to each other even if they arent sleeved.

  • well i didnt know if it was like monitor cables where you shouldnt run power and data cables with each other cause it can cause interference.

    thanks for your response :)

  • Oh I see. No you should be fine runing the cables next to each other.

  • if you route the 8 pin up the mother board will it short out the mobo?

  • I assume you mean right under the motherboard. It probably wont short it but you really wont have any room since the cable wont fit. You can try just dont force it and end up breaking your motherboard.

  • great job 5/5 :]

  • This is best cable management I've seen in a long time, I'm just wondering how you got the inside of your tempest to be black? Spray paint? Special Edition? I would love to know

    Thanks

  • spray painted, i did the samee ;)

just take out all rivets and paint all the parts then assemble it again with rivets and a rivet gun

    really easy.

  • Alright thanks a bunch, what about sanding it?

  • Yeah Idk if u ready my message on your profile but u need to sand it. I reccomend just going over it with 100-200 grit sandpaper a view times and then washing it off with rubbing alcohol. then prime it and them paint, and clear coat if you want.

  • Alright thanks, and I didn't get your message? IDK where to look

  • freaking awsome! believe it or not i just finished my build like 2 minutes ago and im using ur video as a guide for cable management ...thanks

  • Thank you!

  • Nice job on your cable mgmt. :-)

  • Thanks Tj, that means a lot from someone like you.

  • dudee you actually did that !!

thank you verry much its will be verry helpfull to me and i sure to many more great video verry appreciat it keep doing great videos .

    cheers :D
