For the record, I am a US Soldier, currently in Victory Base in Iraq, and there is legit documentation stating his background in the martial arts and history in the army. His books are also sold at various PX's on military bases, where I purchased one.
I am a longtime martial artist with a blackbelt in Vale-tudo (no holds barred fighting) and let me tell you... you have no idea how hard it is to hit, take down or do any damage to a real pro boxer!! You will never be so frustrated or hit so hard until you spar with or fight a pro boxer. Evander wins this one no problem!

Being in REAL combat makes you rely on instinct, reflex, and everything Evander had to do.
