Love Clive. He should have won the Oscar. I still have trouble believing that he didn't take it home for his role in Closer; especially after he won the Golden Globe and the BAFTA that same year.

Although I adore his reaction, I can't help but wonder if it really was real? How could he have not heard Goldie announce his name? If I'm wrong and the reaction was genuine, then it's remarkable that he didn't expect to win. Either way, love him to death.

I think Clive is so self-centered.. as most of the Brittish actors...

They leave the "star" thing for the Americans... they take acting as a real and regular job... you see all those wonderful actors such as Matthew MacFadyen, Hugh Laurie, Clive, Ralph Fiennes and so many others . All went to acting school... had tremenduos education.. and yet so modest.
