I miss watching Nadal play. The 2009 final was good but nowhere near as exciting. I watch this final from beginning to end including all the stoppage due to rain, it was unbelievably exciting.

If either of them had picked up the trophy they would have deserved it but I'm glad it was Nadal, he's such a passionate powerhouse and I can't wait for him to return to form. He's still young and still has much to do.

It seems weird to say because people probably would want to cite his domination of Federer in the '08 French, the 5 set epic over Verdasco at the '09 Aussie, or even the demolition of Verdasco last weekend in Monte Carlo, or perhaps the Madrid SF against Djokovic last year, but the '08 Wimbledon final was the best match Nadal's ever played. He was ridiculous in this match. His forehand was unbelievable and unstoppable. That Fed even took him to 5 deserves credit.
