Correct me if I'm wrong, but... Shouldn't the monitor stay fixed wrt the ground? As the plane (and the seat) yawn right, the image on the monitor (and the monitor itself) does as well. As the monitor was attached to the seat, then the image should have stayed perpendicular to the monitor base...

I really don't understand why so much time and effort goes into building these things, all the tech goes into the movement, yet the screen size is poxy! - Come on guys, it should be 33% visual 33% sound and 33% physics, then youve got a sim! - Now go get yourself a 50 inch LED 3D TV and make it work! @robwilco1 The trouble with "full motion" sims is that they aren't really "full motion". There's no way I know of to simulate the *down* force you feel when you're pulling some g forces in a hard turn. When you execute a perfect barrel roll, you feel nothing. It's like you're just sitting down, because there's 1 g kept at all times.

Similarly, when you execute a perfectly coordinated turn, even at 90 degrees of roll, you don't feel any rolling. What you feel is yourself getting heavy.

This is an amazing project but for people that have actually been in small aircraft, it's the G forces that you feel, not the orientation of the aircraft.  A non-moving simulator can only present 1G. If you're in a tight banked turn, you don't feel like you're going to fall out the side of your seat, you just feel the pressure strait down into your seat.

Yeah, you are right on what you say, but if notice more carefully you will see that the sim mimics the lateral G forces that are felt by the pilot when he is slipping or skidding. That's why on some cases the screen shows a turn and the chair is upright (coordinated turn) and other times the chair moves from left to right erraticaly to show non coordination.
