My children are all high school students and they had an amazing 1st day of school...even though that was over a month ago! They love school and are active members of the marching band, cross country team AND the Marine Corps Junior ROTC color guard, drill team and physical fitness team!
My daughter always has a bit of a rough start... came home almost in tears the first day because 'I hate high school, I don't have any friends....' but by the second day was better (thank goodness!)
First day back's been pretty hectic...and freaking hot. Usually at this time of the year it's already pretty cool, but it's still as if it's summer and I'm stewing in my jeans :(
When it's back to school I have guilt. When my daughters go back to school I cry and am sad BUT when my son goes back to school it's a celebration (I can't wait for the first day for him!!!). He's a handful!!!!!!!

First week back was crazy busy. School shopping and finding out all of last year's clothes are too small..which means I have to shop for the kids. Secretly I'm sooo glad their back at school. I hated not having a routine!
my kids aren't in school yet, but on my first day of Kindergarten, the bus driver forgot to drop me off....I can still remember walking to the front of an empty bus and hearing him say "what are you doing here?!?"
And as a side note, someone seriously thumbs down every single one of your videos...methinks someone has WAY too much free time on their hands!

I remember in Grade 6 when us young girls first started learning about fashion and makeup one girl wore so much makeup for the first two days of grade 6 that she BROKE OUT in major zits cause she didnt wash her face haha - I remember gloating over that cause i hated her so much.
The first week was total HELL! My kids did not get off of their bus and I had to drive ALL THE WAY to their school to get them! Let's hope this week is better!

I remember my Mom walking us to school on the first day of elementary school every year. I remember being so scared & she'd take us to our class. I wonder if Moms still do that?
This semester I am only taking two classes and the first week back to school neither professor showed up! So it was actually nice, I got to bond with my classmates by complaining about the professors!
My daughter starts her first day of nursery school next week. Not too worried though, since it's only once a week & a co-op, so I have to stay there with her the 1st few weeks anyway.
The first week back to school was actually pretty flawless considering my youngest was starting PreK and my oldest, 1st grade. I was expecting a rocky, teary, and tantrumy morning but nothing. On the 2nd day of school, my oldest told me that I didn't need to walk her to her classroom door anymore because she was a big girl. She even gave me the pity pat on the shoulder when I told her it didn't bother me.

This semester I am only taking two classes and the first week back to school neither professor showed up! So it was actually nice, I got to bond with my classmates by complaining about the professors!

My daughter starts her first day of nursery school next week. Not too worried though, since it's only once a week & a co-op, so I have to stay there with her the 1st few weeks anyway.

The first week back to school was actually pretty flawless considering my youngest was starting PreK and my oldest, 1st grade. I was expecting a rocky, teary, and tantrumy morning but nothing. On the 2nd day of school, my oldest told me that I didn't need to walk her to her classroom door anymore because she was a big girl. She even gave me the pity pat on the shoulder when I told her it didn't bother me.
