hey i wanted to run 2 audioque hd3.0 15's in my explorer. what type of box is this? what is it good for in terms of like hitting good lows or hitting hi spl or what?

Best subs out their for the money. Just got my 2 12" hdc3's in yesterday. They get very loud!! nice setup you got. And yeah alpine's would not even compare to AQ's. SQ or SPL

That's a clean set up. I like how AQ's pretty much laugh at 1300 watts. I got 1500w going through my AQ HDC3 12" right now just breaking it in and it takes it NO PROBLEM.

u cant compare them bc alpine wont even keep up with these subs man. everyone and there mamma has alpine subs, they are good subs dont get me wrong, but audioque will outdo them if set up properly. like saying i put alpine subs in place of the aq, the alpine wouldnt be as loud IMO.

hard to do in a trunk man.... i have a trunk car as well... just seal of your truck with a single 15 BTL and port on the drivers side and it should hit a 146 if tuned right

did a 146.3 on the TL this past weekend at comp. won the comp to. was the third loudest there. duded with 4 15'' DD subs walled, dude with 2 12'' DD subs blow threw, then me. i outbeat over 25 cars though :) shocked allot of pep, had a big rumor going around saying i had 2 15'' in my truck lmao

what's the 3500 RMS amp going to be when you upgrade. And where do you plan on storing the batteries when you upgrade? bed tool box? You will prolbably need at least 2 bigger batteries for that much power. Looks loud though.

they are 17'' long each when u order them. i had to order 6 and cut the second set of 3 like 2'' down then glue them all together to get 27'' long ports. do the math and make sure the ports are long enough, if not u got to order more bc lows and other stores dont carry the right pipe. trust me i konw

It probably to save In Box Volume. Or they might not fit vertically. In my custom box i used an elbow to bend the ports in the box.

they are external aero ports. its easy to change tuning this way and it also save interior box volume.

he didnt want to have too much space in the box being taken up by the ports, so he made about 50% of the ports be external.
