Smokin!!!! Brillant track.. nothing like old school uplifting disco funk with a touch of jazz... reminds me of my youthful days in the big apple. Cook outs, block partys & older family members preppin for the brilliant n.y.c nite life.. Peace
Also Sunday Nights at Crackers, wardour St. At that time Gossips was called Billies, when Crackers closed we started going to Billies on a Saturday afternoon, same DJ's... Big Up George Powers & Crew.
Was at 'Billie's' (aka Gossips) too, though not quite the same magic as Crackers.Remember Cameo's 'Sound Table' & Webster Lewis's 'El Bobo' being played there as newly released imports;just golden memories. Long live the original 'Inner London Disco/Boogie' scene @ Crackers, Gossips,Spats, Whisky A Go Go,Monkberrys. Central London has just never been the same since those halcyon days of the late 70s & early 80s.Classic music, cool people, quality dancing, & just great memories allround.
Sho ya right!
