  • How do you keep all your equipment from falling over!?

It can be expensive, but why not make your own website for videos? Or buy a web server.

  • @Marinecorps1812 To host my videos on it's own server would cost me hundreds a month. :(

  • @jasonsgroovemachine

Nice to see how much you care about your fans. I would have thought a responsible adult who films himself playing video games would be more generous.

  • @Marinecorps1812 If I could afford it... I'd have done it months ago. It would solve so many of my problems.

We used to do that waaaaaay back in the CLG days. Lasted about 3 months before we used up all our bandwidth and nearly had the hosting taken away.

Shit man, County Line Gaming. I need to get the hell off of YouTube.

  • 1. Have you 'verified' your account with a cellphone?

    2. What codec are you uploading in, and what kind of container is it in? I have seen videos that were 5min long but were in some obscure format/container--and BZZT. No go. AVI is a container. h264 is a codec.

    3. If you monetize your account, you SEEM to get better help from YT... And if you can become a partner you get GREAT help... But, you might get rejected based on your low viewer/subscriber count. But, it is worth a shot.

    1. No, and you can't make me. Can't see how that would make my time limit jump all over the place.

    2. Same one I have been for 2+ years. Can't see how that would make my time limit jump all over the place.

    3. Don't know if I'm all that interested.

    4. But thanks. I do appreciate it.

  • @jasonsgroovemachine

I'm not trying to make you do anything. Just trying to sort out the issue. Verifying my account is what removed my limit, and I just did it and I have plenty of private videos that are way above the 30min mark.

Also, Google/Youtube (they seem like separate companies still) constantly changes the back end converter which converts the videos to FLV, H264/HTML5 etc and if you are using the same converter as 2+ years ago that might be part of the issue. MAYBE. I don't know.

  • @spokehedz Actually, I checked and I did do the cell phone thing. Quite a while ago.

I upload a normal old, unfacny, wmv file.

It is my theory that the amount of time I am limited to on my account is directly proportional to the phases of the moons of Saturn.

  • Sounds like you're kinda screwed no matter what hosting service you use. :/

Anyway, keep up the vlogs, they're always great.

  • @Filby Thus is my Let's Play life. I can have good uploads, but no idea what my time limit is. I can have no time limit but inconsistent uploads or I can upload to the video hosting limbo which Viddler has become.

It's too bad... I really liked Viddler too.

  • Holy crap stupid Viddler!

and YouTube is a big mess to.

  • Why make things simple when you can not.

  • @MegapiemanPHD K.I.S.S.

And I don't mean the verb.
