Also, you a generalizing to a ridiculous extent, there is no doubt that some teens act in an unacceptable manner, but that is true of anyone of any age, and the point of the project is to break the stereotype of all teens acting in this way.
Nobody's saying SOME young people aren't vile, what they are saying though, is that not ALL young people are vile. A soldier's job may be to just do, yes, but, if they opt into this then it's fair, but making people fight for something they don't want to fight for, and who never wanted to fight in the first place is wrong. secondly, as part of this project, i [and all the other teenagers involved] can assure you that there is absolutely NOTHING on sale here. at all. we are all volunteering to make videos, to discuss and listen to other people's views and ideas, and to get our voices heard. we are doing this out of our own choice and free will - no strings attached.
fighting against the common stereotype of teenagers doesn't mean that i want to harm the people who believe in them. there are many definitions for the word "fight", and i won't patronise you with them as i'm sure you know them already. however, i would like to point out that i did -NOT- use the word "fight" in the context of harming anyone. i hope i've cleared that up. it's a shame you choose to find all this negativity in my words when i had no intention of meaning such things.
and what exactly is it that makes us teenagers 'scum'? because i'm sure that i know a lot more teenagers than you, who haven't done ANY of those things at all. yet apparently we're all 'vile' and 'scum' just because we're teenagers?

Okay, so you say 16-18s should be in the army, but that they don't have a right to have opinions because they don't vote, so, you believe people should fight for their country even though they shouldn't have an opinion over what they are fighting for? Also, you a generalizing to a ridiculous extent, there is no doubt that some teens act in an unacceptable manner, but that is true of anyone of any age, and the point of the project is to break the stereotype of all teens acting in this way.

Nobody's saying SOME young people aren't vile, what they are saying though, is that not ALL young people are vile. A soldier's job may be to just do, yes, but, if they opt into this then it's fair, but making people fight for something they don't want to fight for, and who never wanted to fight in the first place is wrong. I'll leave this here as you seem to be stubborn and stuck in your views, unwelcoming to change. I'll leave you to be an example of what these projects are fighting against.

i said "about us" because you were making a generalisation and a judgement about TEENAGERS in particular, not infants or "over 30"s etc. "us" refers to teenagers, as i would consider myself as a teenager. i hope i've clarified that.
i don't think that my voice means more than yours, and i never once stated that i thought this way. i'm not denying the fact that there are problems in today's society involving teenagers. but that's not to say that these problems involve ALL teenagers.

i'm sorry that you may have had some unfortunate experiences with teenagers, but i'd like to inform you that not all of us behave in this way. although, of course, that will probably be something you are unable to accept.
i actually agree that there is a lack of discipline amongst some teenagers. however, my point here all along has been that this does not apply to all teenagers, and it may not even apply to most teenagers.

the teens speech is actually vastly under-advertised which is a big problem, hence why amazing youtubers like gazza promote it in this way. the teens speech is run by the charity barnardos, they have nothing to sell, and i hope this does change how a lot of people view teenagers because have you ever thought that your just a narrow minded prick who doesnt understand anything ? it appears quite a few of us teenagers actually have brains, and it appears we use them better than you

firstly, i'd like to point out that barnados is a CHARITY.
secondly, as part of this project, i [and all the other teenagers involved] can assure you that there is absolutely NOTHING on sale here. at all. we are all volunteering to make videos, to discuss and listen to other people's views and ideas, and to get our voices heard. we are doing this out of our own choice and free will - no strings attached.

fighting against the common stereotype of teenagers doesn't mean that i want to harm the people who believe in them. there are many definitions for the word "fight", and i won't patronise you with them as i'm sure you know them already. however, i would like to point out that i did -NOT- use the word "fight" in the context of harming anyone. i hope i've cleared that up. it's a shame you choose to find all this negativity in my words when i had no intention of meaning such things.

i'm sorry that you've had to witness this sort of behaviour. i can understand how you feel, because if i saw these sorts of things happening, i, too, would feel disgusted by it. however, i just think it's a real shame that you choose to think that every single teenager is like this. i can tell you that i don't act in this way, and i know many who don't. in fact, i'm sure many other teenagers could say the same.

at least you've admitted that you are "mostly right" and that "on the whole" teenagers are "ill mannered and rude". at least here, there has been room for exceptions in those statements. whilst i don't completely agree, this has been an improvement from being "100% right" and "all teenagers", so i reckon we've reached the best possible outcome.

i'm sorry, but saying "UK young people are vile" doesn't really seem like trying to see the best in people. i don't really want to go back to past arguments, but i think that generalising and calling all of us vile/scum/feral rats etc. isn't really giving any of us a chance to even -try- to show you the best in us, because you'd already assumed and made up your mind that we -all- behaved anti-socially.
