Jon Lord in Classik - Child in Time (live in Munich 21.11.2010)

Though I had the privilege to be at the concert in Essen I admit I envy Munich.

To see Jon Lord leading the orchestra playing his beautiful composition "Sarabande" in it´s entireness was a unique experience I always dreamed of - though such an impressive orchestra like this plus the capable Demon´s Eyes (wish we´d have had them for the concert before; especially the guitar and drums) and also Steve Balsamo, who was awfully missed in Essen, would have hightened that great evening enormously.

Vielen Dank an mrnoner für diesen Mitschnitt, einen tolle Erinnerung an einen einzigartigen Abend. Ein geniales Zusammenspiel von Orchester, Demon´s Eye( vor allem Schlagzeuger und Gitarist) und Tastenzauberer Jon Lord. Der Höhepunkt des Abends, meinen Lieblingssänger Steve Balsamo endlich live zu sehen und zu hören, nachdem er das Konzert in Essen krankheitsbedingt absagen musste. Fantastisch, großartig, spektakulär!!!

What a wonderful evening this was! A colourful mixture of Concerto, Jons own work and of course some Purple numbers. Relaxed and full of jovialtiy and enthusiasm - this is clearly where Jon feels most comfortable. Impressive work by the Purple cover band too - especially the guitar and drum work. An interesting version of Child shows how versatile this song is.
