Dear god....all the memories... watching my dad play this game....and this tune always haunted me... and now here I am playing this game for myself... this is truly one of the best video game songs ever. It really fucking hits dead on when it comes to fitting the atmosphere. D3 will never be a rightful successor to D2.

This tune is nice, fore a while but sadly after playing for a few hours one really learns to hate it. Luckily one do not spend much time in Tristram in Diablo2, but it is the main base in Diablo Classic and the music are the same.

@1GunKnight Battle.Net back in the day when this game as at its top... the economy alone in the online game was insanely amazingly built by pure demand and supply. The things you could do in the world of d2 online are second to none in any other gaming experience.

@1GunKnight It depends imo the best patch of Diablo 2 was 1.09. I would play private pvp servers ran on 1.09 over any new patch. The hunt for the elite items and rare crafts use to be so good back then. You can probably find some 1.09 servers around still but I doubt the population is very good anymore. I've not played in so many years and with d3 around I doubt many people care. But Diablo 2 will always be remembered for raising the bar for mmo online gaming to new heights.

@A1zek I guess in diablo there was a rumor that if you clicked the cows in right combination enough times, it would open a secret cow level; however, it wasn't true, so one of the cheat codes in starcraft is "there is no cow level." finally, in response to the rumors and because they are awesome, the game developers put in the cow level in diablo 2.
